I have never seen such a literal representation of a concept.

Literally, the left half is such a musculo-intestinal kind of bio that it’s a lil gross looking lol, and the right side is such a futuristic synthetic component that I’m just, like—wow, they really just did that, didn’t they. Not just components with similar functions to human organs or an electronic equivalent/holding place, but a legit cybernetic mashup of flesh and metal.

Idk man, it’s just a fascinating piece of world-building detail I’m very 👀 for.

Kamski just be out here imagining himself as the actual Victor Frankenstein lol

(But of course, we already knew that he fancies himself as such, what with that shirt he’s got on in one of the secret ending epilogues being a passage straight from the original 1818 Frankenstein novel by Mary Shelley and all…)

I love both ATLA and DBH and thusly could not help but notice how well each member of the Jericrew fits each of the elements. So here, have some of my unasked-for thoughts on it lol xD

North: Firebender

- The Superficial Match: Frequently setting things on fire and advocating for violence  - The Philosophy: Fire = the element of power, the people of it defined by their passion, will, energy, and drive (also big “best defense is a good offense” vibes) - How it Fits the Character: North is perhaps the most outspokenly passionate about the deviant’s plight, has unbending will to see androids freed, and the will to see it through to the bitter end, even at the expense of her life (also advocates for preemptory strikes)

Josh: Earthbender

- The Superficial Match: Stubborn about his beliefs, “we have to stand our ground” - The Philosophy: Earth = the element of substance, the people of it are diverse and strong, persistent and enduring - How it Fits the Character: Has been one of those at Jericho the longest, stands his ground against North/unwilling to back down even in the face of lethal opposition (cough Freedom March) but before that was very much employing the more Earthen strategy of waiting for the right moment to act (even if he got too settled into that pattern/fell victim to inertia, which is another Earth trait/potential foible)

Simon: Airbender

- The Superficial Match: Favorite fighting style is to nope outta there - The Philosophy: Air = the element of freedom, their people detached from worldly concerns and peacemakers - How it Fits the Character: Intercede to keep the peace between North and Josh, ran Jericho before Markus took over as a safe haven detached from the world (”freedom” in the dark), concerned with preserving their people’s lives above all else

Markus: Waterbender

My brain: dun. Dun. DUN. DUN! DUH-NA-NA

Me: no, wat—

Me: Connor is literally such a common name will you pls staph—

Have not thought overly hard on this, was mainly looking at Carl’s mansion and Carl adopting that sort of teacher-mentor role for Markus.

And then I thought about how dope North would be as Jean Grey/Phoenix.

So then of course Markus would be Scott Summers/Cyclops cause leader and le canon romance. 

Also imagine Simon as Angel tho (like, cause he dies so much to ahaha plus I bet he’d look rad with le wings)

Josh as Nightcrawler cause okay real T have only seen the movies and dipped like a pinkie toe in the ocean of comics—but at least in the films he seemed to lean more pacifist

Also tho how amazing would it be to see Hank as Wolverine

And you cannot tell me that Gavin Reed wouldn’t be Deadpool asksksk

Idk why I’m having a hard time with Connor maybe Beast cause he got that sciency side and that murder-bot side to him. Or maybe Cable cause half-machine, half-human lol. OR Rogue cause that deviant Connor in the church was so everything-I-touch-gets-ruined emo vibes

1. The friendliness of fellow hikers on a trail 2. Giving a gift to a friend that they really enjoy 3. When you get caught in a light rain and realize it really isn’t that big a deal haha and just enjoy the feeling of being alive 4. Unexpected compliments 5. Seeing the people I love laugh :)

I can 100% get behind this headcanon.

I mean, it would not technically be possible since amendments have to be proposed either by the Congress, through a joint resolution passed by a 2/3 vote, or by a convention called by Congress in response to applications from 2/3 of the state legislatures. And Markus and Josh would need to become Senators or House Representatives before they could be a part of that process, and they’ve barely been reluctantly acknowledged in only some of the timelines as another form of intelligent life. Key thing there—not “people,” just—another form of intelligent life. Which, if they’re not human/not considered people, they’d be starting from ground zero in regards to rights.

BUT

It certainly is a fun thought and I probably considered this way more thoroughly than I should have. xD

BUT ALSO, continuing in that vein of over-analyzation, maybe it could be possible. I’d need to look into who actually writes Constitutional Amendments, not just proposes them. Because there’s a chance Markus and Josh could conceivably end up part of that process, even if they’re not part of the House or the Senate. The American Legislative Exchange Council (ALEC) is a conservative nonprofit organization that drafts and shares “model” legislation that essentially amounts to fill-in-the-blank type stuff for congressmen to finish off and propose (kinda controversial corporate influence type stuff, would recommend learning more about it). BUT THE POINT is that just because Senators/House Representatives have to propose the bills doesn’t necessary mean that they write them.

Part of the this-requires-more-research-bit I’m getting at is that I’d imagine Constitutional Amendments would be different from normal bill-to-law processes of the kind ALEC’s got it’s claws in, so there are probably some guidelines/norms/rules somewhere about who can actually write Constitutional Amendments.
