King In Yellow presents: Lightning Returning 

King In Yellow is a post-punk band with four members who aim to create dynamic and powerful music. Still, the group's sound retains an ethereal twist that adds an atmospheric element to the formula.

From the get-go, the powerful rhythm section and the dissonant guitar drones create a massive wall of sound, making for an impactful introduction. The main riff is raw and catchy, with an angular sound that effectively cuts through the mix. In the verses, we get to hear more of the bass, enhanced with a heavier fuzz effect that propels the song. The brooding, effect-laden vocals are slightly buried under the instrument and echo, but this only adds to the cavernous mood of the sound, reminiscent of classic cold-wave and post-punk aesthetics. In spite of the vocals being lower in the mix, the singing is still intelligible and expressive, making for an introspective twist.

This song is highly recommended for fans of Preoccupations, DIIV, Dead Rituals, or Joy Division, just to name a few.

Darkness finds; 2022.

@postpunkindustrial has become one of the most thorough and present accounts on here. In fact, @womenofnoise declared him one of three parts of The Unholy Trinity. He's posted many finds from industrial, breakcore, new wave, goth rock, no-wave, experimental sounds, and also hip-hop. He's also one of the most generous, too. From time to time he'll open some releases for download to all of his followers and passers-by to grab.

One good thing about underground and obscure musicks is that once you feel you've heard it all, there's always something that's you've either overlooked or didn't know existed. If you had before, at least you're relieved to know that someone else has also been where you came from. And if not? That's a chance to explore some news sounds and appreciate the ones you've already had.

Here's only a few of many grabs that's available, including new ones I came across as I revisited last year's finds. These are all coming into play as I attempt to come back and reach for many purchases in my possession I've yet to listen to.
