#no separation

have been pondering this... there is that video of them RBR era where max tentatively is like "she? can it be he?" or whatever and daniel has never thought about that before. i feel like from that moment forward he'd joke about it all the time--are cars are flirting, max, my car has a crush on yours, they have to separate our cars in the garages so they don't... you know--thinking he's incredibly funny. max honk-laughs every time, but he flushes too.

flash forward a few years (we're fully into fiction now obvs) and daniel's gone to renault and he and the mechanics are talking about his car--she--and daniel kind of absently is like, oh max verstappen always said his car was a boy. and the mechanic laughs in this not very nice way and daniel feels like. surprisingly defensive all of a sudden, because what the guy is implying--that's not what max meant, right? it's just max. just weird old max with his quirks.

An earlier draft of my English cover of NO SEPARATION / WU BIE 无别 from Heaven Official’s Blessing / Tian Guan Ci Fu / 天官赐福 with the show’s opening art. I can’t upload it to YouTube (thanks copyright system), but I always thought it was meant to be seen with the video for the full effect. 

As you may be able to tell, this version is not the recording you’ll hear on my YouTube / Soundcloud. It’s an earlier take, less “clean”, but I like it too! Sometimes those first takes are more raw and emotional, but mine are always filled with mic puffs and timing issues, hah.
