What's something every Link has in common besides courage? Also, something every Zelda has in common besides wisdom? (This sounds like a riddle but it's not, I'm just curious what traits you think they'd have in common)
Ooooh super interesting question! It actually took me a few days to think of a good answer! Link's was easy, but Zelda gave me some trouble π Also thank you for clarifying that it's not a riddle. That note makes me laugh haha β€οΈ
One thing I believe all of the Links have in common is that they love to sleep! Of course we can see this in several of the games' openings. Link sleeps in even when he has plans or someone is calling for his attention π OOT, WW, MC, ST, SS, ALBW. (I won't even mention games where he's asleep due to injury like LA or BOTW, though they definitely don't help his case lol). But honestly, I kind of love this as a character trait for him. It makes him seem a little lazy, but I think it really speaks to his carefree nature. He doesn't often stress about the small stuff. The fact that he enjoys lying in bed, getting a good night's rest. It makes him very endearing imo π
As for Zelda, one thing that I headcanon they all have in common is that they are total bookworms. They love seeing the written word. Give them a book and they're happy. Sit them down in a library and they're in paradise lol β¨ I'm not really sure why I headcanon that this is the case, but I do think it speaks to all of Zelda's differing personalities. Her intelligence and maturity just makes me feel like she spends a lot of time enjoying literature. She likes research. She likes history. She enjoys peace and quiet, and she doesn't mind being alone. I don't know. I just think that every Zelda has some sort of fondness for reading β€οΈ
And also! One thing that I find amusing about both of these answers is that Link and Zelda could technically do these activities together π I can already envision it. Zelda curled up with a good book. Link resting peacefully at her side. Both of them content. Both of them happy to have each other close, but also cherishing the silence. Both of them unwinding in a way that suits them. It just feels like the perfect scene π
