if i had a quarter for every time i’ve had a surprise encounter with a deer’s disembodied leg, i’d have at least three quarters. it isn’t a lot, but it’s pretty weird that it happened three times

#the first one was when we moved #across the river #there was a dead deer snagged on an uprooted tree #we got it out to the woods before it rotted all the way but a week later i found its leg at the bottom of the river #the next time i was kayaking during this deer plague thing #and i'm goin #and a stick pokes me in the face #and i look and it isn't a stick #it's a FUCKing deer leg #touching my face #bobbing in the water #third i was walkking my dog in the winter and she found something #and i brushed the snow off of it and there's just a deer leg #sitting in the middle of awasteland #no roads #no woods nearby #just a fucking deer leg #city posts
