 it  freaked  her  out  at  first  .  she  has  this  power  to  drive  people  insane  ?  and  for  a  while  ,  she  was  happy  to  just  ignore  that  her  powers  existed  so  long  as  she  kept  her  emotions  under  control  .  her  mom  and  grandparents  thought  she  should’ve  gone  straight  to  nl  as  soon  as  they  came  in  .  this  power  is  detrimental  if  she  couldn’t  get  ahold  of  it  .

 they  recharge  like  how  any  introvert  will  .  trix  settles  for  some  alone  time  and  a  bottle  of  her  favorite  red  wine  .  so  yeah  ,  it’s  surprisingly  simple  .  she  just  has  a  me  day  .

 unfortunately  ,  they  haven’t  found  any  hacks  to  help  the  restriction  last  shorter  .  and  while  they  have  no  interest  using  their  powers  once  they   leave  nl  ,  they’d  like  to  know  just  in  case  .

005.  how  advanced  do  they  think  they  are  with  their  abilities  ?

 she  thinks  that  she  could  be  better  with  her  abilities  .  she’s  proficient  at  best  and  has  decent  control  over  them  .  she  won’t  unintentionally  render  someone  catatonic  anymore  so  that’s  a  good  sign  !

about:

growing up in the public eye has placed an incredible amount of pressure on abel. this was only fueled by their parents, who in wanting the best for their child, pushed them to excel. and abel did excel, they were the perfect child. on the outside.

on the inside, they were struggling to live up to the expectations. struggling to be perfect. and this led to more than a few angry outbursts and a good amount of healthy, teenage rebellion. and ultimately, to neaman lion. though it was worth mentioning, it was always sort of expected that they’d attend.

they selected the ambassador path, it felt right, and it was a good fit. they’ve always had a strong social media presence, they’re charming, they know what the people want. it makes sense that they’re an influencer, though they make an effort not to behave like a typical influencer. they don’t ask for free handouts, they pay for things.

but despite having everything they could ask for, abel has always wanted more from life. they crave substance, they want to do something that means something. they’ve tried to channel this into doing outreach and volunteer work and raising awareness on their platforms, but it doesn’t feel like it’s enough. and those closest to them have started to pick up on how unhappy they are. 

fun facts:

abel has modeled on a professional level, something they enjoyed. they wouldn’t make a career out of it, but it’s worth mentioning.

they’ve always had an incredible fashion sense, helped in part by their parents fortune. they’ve been known to push the boundaries, wearing dresses and skirts on occasion. 

abel loves nail polish, but also sucks at painting their own nails. so they’ve settled on getting regular manicures, which they don’t mind, self care is important.

their biggest vice is smoking and they know it’s bad which is why they try to hide it. i’m taking secretly sneaking out to smoke, smoking in a bathroom. it’s not pretty, but stress keeps driving them back. 

abel is the kind of person who wears dress shoes without socks. they like the exposed ankle look.

they like to party, but they’ve always managed to stay out of the papers. meaning no wild, out of control partying. but it’s also not uncommon for them to bring someone home after a night out. 

they have a temper, something they’ve done a good job at keeping in check but every once in a while they explode. 

they bite their lip - when they’re nervous, worried, bored, dozing off, basically all the time.

limitations:

[ CHARMSPEAK ]: considered to be a rare power, it was unheard of for legacies to possess it. but as the child of a powerful charmspeaker, perhaps it makes sense. though, they haven’t put much thought into it. in fact, they remained unaware of this ability for most of their life, wrongfully assuming they possessed a nature charm. it was only after their arrival at nl, when they saw how differently people reacted that they put two and two together. they’re far from mastering this ability, but they have learned to use it to their advantage, though it’s also worth noting they tend to avoid using it on other demigods- when they’re actively controlling it that is.

[ ELECTROKINESIS ]: unlike their charmspeak abilities, they have always been aware of this ability. however, similar to charmspeak they don’t fully understand this ability. and admittedly, they haven’t spent much time working on learning to control it. therefore, it makes sense that they have yet to gain control of this ability. the few times they’ve successfully controlled lightning have been out of anger, and it’s left them incredibly exhausted. with training they might gain a better understanding and control of this ability, but they haven’t shown any desire to take this step.

how did they discover their powers and limitation? He was ten when he first learned of this ability. It was when he was running away from a group of bullies who chased him down several streets from their school. He hid himself within an alley, wanting nothing more than to disappear or to be back in his room where he would be safe. Hiding in the shadows, he finds himself taking a few steps back and without his realization, he was back in his room. It’s there where he learns of this ability, shadow travel, where he can transport himself, others, and objects using shadows. However, it’s an ability that can easily exhaust and hurt a person. While he can travel anywhere and with anyone, it can only be done if there are shadows there and if he’s been to the other place that he’s traveling to. Going over that limitation, while possible, can put him into a deep sleep for up to a few weeks or an entire month. Not only that, if he uses it a lot, he’ll find himself becoming a shadow and losing his human form.

how do they handle it ? A sneaky boy with a sneaky ability, it fits him perfectly. He uses it almost every single day, not even caring if it makes him a bit tired, it’s an amazing ability. Using it to get to places quickly or for one of his pranks on others, it’s truly a blessing. And despite him being a non fighter, Simon can use it in battle. As long as there’s shadows around, he’s able to sneak up behind a person and attack them, or send his weapons after them. A boy with twin daggers and a bow and arrow, two different types of attacks.

how do they recharge ? Simply by sleeping. It’s why you can find him napping in random places for thirty minutes to an hour, recharging himself before he has to go. Or, he just doesn’t use it for a few days, to help ground himself back to Earth and not in the world of shadows.

are there any life hacks they found to help the restriction last shorter ? Nope.

how advanced do they think they are with their abilities? Nine out of ten ! Even before NL, he’s been practicing and honing his ability to where it’s easier for him to use it. There’s no struggle when it comes to using or controlling it, there’s just the after effects of using it that cannot be avoided.

how did they discover their powers and limitation? She was ten when both made an appearance. So sudden and out of the ordinary, she didn’t believe it until she tested it out at least four more times. A girl always surrounded by electronics and strange items because of her grandfather’s shop, learning how to use and control her abilities wouldn’t be a surprise for anyone who saw her tinkering with something. Control and understanding came with years of participate and working in her grandfather’s shop before leaving for NL. They simply helped with refining her skills. Metal manipulation allows her to manipulate and shape metal into whatever she wants. Limitations for this includes being unable to just create metal out of nothing and has to take into consideration the metals mass and other properties before she can use it. Then there’s technokinesis, the ability that allows her to manipulate and control electronics and machines, can even communicate with said electronics. Limitations includes the inability to control anything that is mechanical and doesn’t have electronic properties and depending on the quality and severity of the damage of an electronic, she’ll be unable to control it. 

how do they handle it ? Both require thought and careful precision. Must be always thinking, carefully piecing everything together and accurate analysis has to be made. Both are handled with the upmost consideration for what she’s trying to create or manipulate so that it doesn’t blow up in her face ( not literally with an explosion you silly goose !!!! ). 

how do they recharge ? Exactly like your phone or favorite gaming system, Alphonsine requires rest and the need to charge herself up. Literally, just let the girl sleep and she’s all good. 

are there any life hacks they found to help the restriction last shorter ? None. 

how advanced do they think they are with their abilities? Eight out of ten with metal manipulation ( the idea of creation has never been difficult, it was always learning how to keep the creation up and make sure that it wouldn’t break ), and eight point five out of ten with technokinesis ( while only half a point difference, this still means a lot to a girl who can just understand electronics as if it’s second nature. )

about:

born to the goddess nike and a young, promising professional golfer named tobias day. the couple never planned on having a child, let alone two. and what many would see as a blessing, quickly became a burden to toby. a selfish man, he chose his career over his children. 

because of this tristan and his sibling were primarily raised by a nanny, which quickly became a series of nannies as they grew older and constantly found themselves in more and more trouble. 

to say tristan was a troubled child, would be somewhat of an understatement. he got into more than his fair share of trouble, but he was actually quite bright. he was simply acting up to gain his father’s attention, and when that didn’t work he turned to upstaging the older man in athletics.

the one thing his father had bothered to teach him was the sport of golf, and despite harboring an immense hatred toward the sport, a young tristan entered in and won his fair share of competitions. and when his father finally recognized his accomplishments, there was a brief period of happiness. this quickly fell apart, however, as a result of some dispute over a pairs tournament.

after that tristan swore off golf, instead turning his focus towards tennis and soccer. he would come to excel at both sports, thanks in part to his powers, but also natural athleticism. 

and while he could have gone on to be a professional in either sport, something that he had always dreamed about. tristan decided to instead that he would instead join nemean lion at the age of 14. setting aside his dreams of being an athlete, for dreams of becoming a hero.

of course he had to stay on the general tract for the first four years, but most people knew he’d become a hero. and once he turned eighteen, he joined the hero path and excelled. 

he’s unemployed besides being a hero, but he does play in the occasional tennis tournament. but admittedly, he does often feel like something is missing from his life. though, what that is, he isn’t sure. 

fun facts:

tristan is very into trying new things- especially when it comes to athletics. after all he’s a child of nike, competition is in his blood. he especially enjoys when someone teaches him something and he goes on to best them, though he’s learned not to boast too much. 

he only wears nike athletic clothing, though he isn’t sure whether or not his mother has anything to do with the company. he does feel like it’s a nice way to honor her, plus it’s some quality stuff. 

he sticks to a very heathy diet, after all he is an athlete. he counts his calories, he watches what goes into his body. he starts every day with a vile green smoothie. his favorite snack are apples, it’s not uncommon to see him snacking on one and discarding the core on the ground. after all, they are biodegradable. 

he has a very strange sense of morals, in that you’d be very surprised to see what he finds right versus what he finds wrong. he sees no need to hold the door open for someone, but he would stop to help someone pick up something they dropped. 

he’s got a fairly good amount of money saved up, thanks in part to his father. but he doesn’t make a habit of spending it, despite trying to give off the appearance of wealth. it’s contradictory, he knows it, he hates it.

limitations: 

ENHANCED SKILLS:

tristan discovered this skill through showing off. he doesn’t even remember the details, upon first discovering the ability, he was quick to try as many skills as he could think of. but he quickly found that less he knew about the subject, or the more daring the skill- the harder it was for him to perform. he still uses this ability when it comes to training and battles, but otherwise he views it as a party trick more than anything. 

LIMITED INVINCIBILITY:

tristan discovered this ability by accident during a training session gone horribly wrong. the details are blurry, in part due to his adrenaline, but he just remembered being backed off the edge of a steep cliff, and the next second he was laying on the ground, completely fine. well, alive, he was rather drained. it seemed he had willed himself to stay alive. he still struggles with the understanding and control of this power, never quite sure of when it will take affect. but he does make a habit of consuming healthy, natural foods in order to stay in a peak physical condition, which seems to limit how much the invincibility drains him.

 it’s  hard  to  say  when  lyra  discovered  her  powers  and  limitations  .  her  powers  are  more  subtle  therefore  harder  to  distinguish  .  she  didn’t  exactly  realize  she  had  powers  until  she  showed  up  at  nl  .

 she  handled  it  with  grace  .  it’s  not  like  she’s  shaped  her  whole  personality  to  being  a  demigod  with  powers  .  soon  after  the  realization  ,  she  wants  to  put  in  the  work  to  gain  control  of  her  powers  ,  no  matter  how  subtle  it  may  be  .

 a  quick  meditation  session  does  the  trick  .  however  ,  she  prefers  to  settle  down  with  a  book  and  a  bottle  of  wine  ,  focusing  her  attention  elsewhere  so  her  mind  can  relax  .

 there  aren’t  any  notable  life  hacks  to  help  the  restriction  last  shorter  .  she’s  able  to  absorb  negative  emotional  energy  and  it  only  takes  a  toll  on  her  after  long  periods  of  time  .  lyra  has  hardly  ever  needed  to  use  these  powers  in  a  combat  scenario  .

 while  she  hasn’t  used  it  much  for  combat  ,  she’s  still  pretty  advanced  with  her  abilities  .  she  may  have  only  been  at  nl  for  a  year  ,  but  when  lyra  puts  her  mind  to  something  ,  she’ll  make  sure  she  masters  it  .
