Leo was so fucking high.

"Hiya, Nico." he giggled. Two months ago, he had convinced himself that moving in with the hottest person he’d ever met would not be psychological torture. But he couldn't be more wrong. At least not now. Not when his entire world blurred at the edges and it was just Nico. Staring at him. And realistically there was probably no warmth in his roommate’s eyes, but Leo could imagine it. Those dark almond eyes kissing him to sleep. He could even picture what they'd look like with Nico on two knees. Which was something he’d only picture on accident– or high. 

"Uhh, someone got really high while I was out," Nico laughed, stepping into his room  and shutting the door behind him. Then he stood there. Staring. Then he was walking closer to Leo who was sprawled out on the floor, "Well I just came in to tell you I brought back take-out."

"Mhfm," Leo partially moaned; food was good but Nico would be nicer. "C'mere, lay with me," Leo said softly, just barely lifting his hand to pat the floor.

"I have things to do, mister," Nico said, crouching to his level, settling on his, (hah), knees.

"Mi-ster," Leo said tasting the syllables in his mouth, "You only call me that when I'm high."

Nico chuckled softly, "You're high often enough."

"Nuh-no," Leo had to close his eyes, and open them again, "Only when I’m reeaally high."

Nico's hair had been growing out, it made dark locks fell around his face, creating silly shadows against his cheeks and his nose. His lips. Maybe it was the candles' fault, flickering.

"Like right now?"

"Yeah, f-fuck," he had to close his eyes again. He liked looking at Nico too much. Leo scooted his head slowly so it could rest against Nico's knee. It felt stupidly indulgent. A cheek to a knee.

"Yeah?" Nico's hand moved up to rest in Leo's hair. Nestling itself in a rhythmic pattern, sending a shiver down Leo's entire body.

"Yeah." He opened his eyes again. Nico was so fucking beautiful.

Nico laughed this time. It wasn't a full belly laugh, but loud enough for shame to peek through Leo's high. Shame at the small pool of warmth creeping in his stomach.

"I'm going to go eat. I can bring you a plate if you want?" Nico asked, getting up so abruptly Leo only noticed the absence of the knee he was resting on, not the thump his head took.
