I think I talked a little about it somewhere in my blog, as much as it pains me to say it, I have to admit that seeing Damian be straight-up portrayed as Muslim in canon is completely unrealistic at the moment, simply because he’s Robin and the son of Batman. Batman is one of the most famous fictional characters of all time and not to mention a huge American icon and we all know how much America loves Muslims, you can tell by the bountiful amount of positive representation we receive in their media. So because of that, it’s very obvious that making Batman’s son a Muslim wouldn’t be worth all the uproar that DC will receive by their readers for their attempt at “forced diversity,” I mean look at how much people lost their mind when DC made ONE of the many Green Lanterns a Muslim (even if there was no controversy around it, I don’t think the people working in DC would even want to do that?) Which really sucks, because there have been comics in the past (granted some of them were not in the main time-line) that portrayed his grandfather (who’s a villain) and his mother (who’s an anti-hero) as Muslims, but apparently the line has to be drawn when it comes to him specifically.

But while I acknowledge all of that, that doesn’t stop me from personally seeing him as Muslim, because really that would have been the case if we lived in a less bigot world and when it comes to your question about writers making him do/say Christian things (or any other religion really), I’m absolutely against it. Basically the way I view it is “if we can’t have him, then no one can either” so yeah, if you’re not willing to commit to him being Muslim, then it would be for the best if you just leave the religious aspect alone when writing him and not bring it up at all. Because honestly it’s just a slap to the face for us to see him belonging to another religion.

i think my favorite oc in general is probably my oc Ryan who is the protagonist of a project I’ve been working on for nearly 7 years now. i’ve spent a super long time refining him and the world he’s apart of so i have a lot of love in my heart for him. i don’t have any recent enough drawings to share but i did do a doodle of him a little over a month ago

my favorite oc to draw, however, is my dnd character Llewelyn. i have a ton of fun drawing him mainly because of his scars and his hair and outfit designs because my dm loves to give us opportunities to be fancy. I have probably a million and a half doodles of him... anyway here’s one of my most recent WIPs!! please excuse how rough it is i have not lined my sketch yet

*ignores the (quite good) high stakes plot and emotional themes of the fic so I can have more room to meme about throwaway egg jokes*
