Inspired by @dressesandcapes I wanted to do my own 28 days of black cosplay. 1 cosplay for each day of February. Today, Iโm showing off my favorite Disney character cosplay so far: Jack Skellington from The Nightmare Before Christmas. As a goth, Iโve ALWAYS loved this movie and wanted to challenge myself with how to make myself into the Pumpkin King. Or in this case, the Pumpkin Queen. Also this is my first time cosplaying Disney royalty. Cosplay made by me and my stellar spine heel shoes are from Amazon. As a Black cosplayer, Iโve long since realized that cosplayers in the black community donโt get there just dues and appreciation for the work they do. We are always called โvariantsโ or โ(insert character name) if they were blackโ. I think itโs time we break that negative stigma and show appreciation for cosplayers of color.
