Ahaha oh no, okay, admittedly I have like zero things for Freyja Dvorak, but here goes! (Tagging my wife because she asked on the wrong blog @booty-boggins )

1) Her name is Freyja Dvorak (the misspelling is fine! I like it because that’s my pup’s name)

1.5) No, she’s not named after my dog, but it did spark my interest in if the name would work in the Grishaverse!

2) The title for her story, The Ice Does Not Forgive, has two meanings behind it.

-First: It’s actually a quote from the book Six of Crows. I like to have the title of my fics be a quote or something from the show, movie, video game, book, whatever, that I’m writing for.

-Second: It is a hint/alludes to Freyja’s powers? I’m not sure that’s what they are called in canon, I haven’t read the books or watched the show, so sorry if powers isn’t the correct word to use! (I just ordered the Grisha trilogy books tonight, so I’ll be reading them soon.)

3) Freyja ends up with The Darkling, like he’s her endgame 100%. I have zero intentions of making him good or lessening what he’s done/does. Never really said Freyja was going to be a hero/good girl 😈 (Nikki get your head out of the gutter, but like, you’re not wrong). But Freyja and The Darkling 100%, absolutely, unequivocally love each other and it’s actually a healthy love, as healthy as they both can offer. It’s not toxic and it’s not abusive or unhealthy, just, they are both damaged beings and sometimes that plays into their relationship.

4) I’m toying with the idea of Freyja developing a secondary power later in the story. She’s an Ice Grisha from the beginning and I’m toying with the idea of her developing into a Sun Summoner too; I think the idea of her ice giving off light is really interesting and is what initially would draw The Darkling to her and then through that she develops that light into being a Sun Summoner. But that’s just an idea right now.

5) Freyja has a dark history too. I’m not sure what exactly that history is yet, I have some rough ideas but nothing to concrete. Just that it’s dark and it’s painful and she’s going to know pain quite intimately, for like 90% of her life really.

GOD WHERE DO I EVEN BEGIN.

Not only are you incredibly beautiful, but you're genuinely an amazing person with a real talent for writing and characterization. You deal with so much and still keep your head up high and still have such a big heart. Your talent for writing is ridiculous (in a good way) and the way that you're able to create so many stories for such big creative worlds and make them unique and your own while sticking to canon at the same time is amazing, not to mention that every single story and OC of yours is unique and different; not one of them is the same or similar to each other and it's mindblowing considering how many written/published fics you have.

Not gonna lie, I genuinely forgot that Akira even existed, whoops. Re-reading her doc though makes me miss her, so thank you for sending this ask in! I really appreciate it!

☁️ - what is this OC's clothing style like?

Oh god, that's such a good question, I almost never think about this sort of thing. I think kinda punk-ish and basically only black? Like, she'd wear black ripped jeans, she'd never wear blue jeans or white jeans, strictly black ripped jeans. And she'd wear just plain black t-shirts and a black cropped leather jacket. She might wear the occasional red t-shirt and a red cropped leather jacket, but black is just what she's most herself in.

⚡- how well does this OC sleep?

Okay, I really love this question because it's one that definitely changes over the course of Akira's story. So, she's always been a night owl, even as a kid, but she'd always have great sleeps until Touya died; the moment she lost Touya she started having restless sleeps and she'd have a nightmare almost every night. Eventually, as time passes, she learns to deal with her nightmares and begins to have a decent night's sleep again. Until, of course, Dabi comes back. At first, Akira literally can't sleep. She's plagued with guilt and does whatever she can to try and find him because she just knows that Dabi is her Touya. Once she finds him and eventually breaks through to Dabi, they begin to make up for lost time, reconcile their friendship, and develop their relationship, Akira sleeps soundly; her nightmares are gone, and she sleeps through the night and has the best sleeps ever. Why? Because she has her Touya back and she sleeps next to him every night. Despite everything going on, all the fighting and such, it doesn't matter. Akira has her Touya back and that's all that matters, that's all that she needs.

💧- what is this OC most passionate about?

Dabi. No, but really, she's not got much story/plot to her right now, but based on what I've got in her doc, I'd have to say justice? It's kinda a weird thing to say, but given how close she is to Touya as a kid and then how little it takes for her to break down Dabi's walls and open him up again (at least to her), she knows the whole story about Touya/Dabi, she's the only one who does and she's livid. There's nothing that she wants more in the world than to get justice for Touya/Dabi and if that means killing Endeavour herself she'll do it. If it means falling from the hero society and being branded/labeled a villain, so be it. As long as Endeavour pays (by life or time served behind bars) she'll see it done. So, in a roundabout way, yeah, Touya/Dabi is what she's most passionate about lol

🍃- describe this OC in one word.

ONE WORD!? God that's cruel. Ummm... loyal-to-a-fault (it counts as one word if there's - in-between each word, shush). She's so loyal to Touya and her friendship with him as a child that when she sees Dabi, even though he's so different from the Touya she remembers, she knows that it's him and there's no hesitation in her to "switch sides;" she sees him and immediately decides to do whatever she can to be close to him again. Akira is so willing to throw everything away that she's made for herself as a hero over the years just so that she can be with Touya/Dabi, so that she can save him, so that she can get justice for him. If anyone wanted to get at her, hurt her or rile her up, everyone knows to go after Dabi; he is her weakness as much as he is her strength.
