Paige had seen the flyer which is how they ended up in their usual box. Paige on Flint's right with Nikki on his left with Cas on her other side. Flint didn't like this, but they had been prepared so they would be safe.
He had liked it even less when he caught sight of A.rmand with Sam in front of him. Flint was no where near as old as A.rmand, but they were close enough. It was Nikki's gasp that brought his head back around, and her hand landed on his leg. He placed one hand over hers.
The family watched with bated breath and Nikki's hand tightening through the whole thing. It was after C.laudia had said this was a stoning that Nikki spoke.
"Papa." She said softly drawing Flint's gaze to her.
"We can't let this happen." She said. Flint looked over at Cas who looked just as distressed and then over at Paige. It would be a risk for their family if he did something. They were counting on them.
"Flint you'll always take care of us. Do this." Paige said softly. None of their voices raising very loud.
"I need you to take Cas and Nikki to the car. Make sure it's close." Flint said. Paige nodded and rose from her seat. Walking behind Flint to gather Nikki and Cas. He waited until they were out of the box. He knew how guarded C.laudia was to telepathic communication, but he just hoped it would be enough.
C.laudia, don't react don't let them know. The sentence targeted just at her. He saw the tinniest of nods.
Do you two want to live? Even a blind man would know that L.ouis would be safe, and this wasn't going to go well for C.laudia.
Yes. The word sliced into his head and the begging clear in it. They could run to his maker. Would run to his maker first thing in the morning. He waited until the last possible second to swoop down to save both C.laudia and M.adeleine. He'd heard S.antiago's noise of surprise, but he couldn't stop. He didn't stop until he was safe in the back of the car. He didn't have to say anything to Paige because she had started moving.
"Why would you do this?" C.laudia asked. Flint leaned back.
"Because you're important to Nikki. And I suppose I have a bit of a reputation." Flint said with a shrug.
"We leave for Ireland tonight. Paige would you be a love and make those arrangements for us?" Flint asked. "And when we're sure you're safe you and M.adeleine can go wherever, but know you're always welcome in our home."
Soft thank yous, and they did leave the same night and his maker wasn't surprised to see them on his doorstep. They stayed hidden until news got to them about the theatre burning that Flint thought it safe enough for them to leave. Giving C.laudia and M.adeleine what he could so they could travel, and telling them again that they could always find them.
