He's in his usual spot nursing his second cup of coffee. The balcony of the hotel was quite peaceful in the mornings (as peaceful as Hell could be, at least). Alastor enjoyed his small moment of peace with a cigarette and the newspaper. The headlines are uninteresting as always, but he hates being caught out of the loop now that he's active in Hell once more.

He flicks the ashes into a shallow tray, meaning to bring it to his lips again when the weight of it suddenly vanished.

Confused, the deer demon immediately looks down. Had he dropped it? But no, sweet Niftty was standing there with it between her hands, her large eye watching him. He quirks a brow but holds his hand out toward her.

Nifft is a wild, chaotic boy, ready to throw himself into a fight at any time.

He doesn't know who his parents are, just that they were also part of the Lords. He was basically raised by the Lords, joining in on their missions since a very young age as he did pretty well during training.

Nifft is a warrior, preferring to use two handed big weapon that he can swing around. He may be small but he is very strong, even though he's not buff. Swinging a huge ass hammer around like a stick is easy for him. He always makes time to decorate the handle of his weapon so that it's as pretty as him lol He is a very angry fighter! Always screaming in rage as he swings his weapon around!

Nifft has always been a huge flirt, the Rivaini and Lords life offering him a lot of opportunities to meet all kinds of people. He didn't view sexual relationships as a big deal and has had some experience at the ripe age of 14. He has kissed other kids before that age but at 14 he experienced a heated makeout session with a fellow young member of the crew, as they were returning to Rivain on a ship. The cabin was dark, only a few candles offering shaky light and what started as a simple kiss turned into hands roaming over bodies and under clothes and by the end of it Nifft was so in love with the feeling of another giving him such pleasure and being able to give pleasure to others. (I hc that people in Rivain are way more open minded and don't think that this is such a big deal. Nifft grew there so he doesn't view doing things at 14 as a big deal)

He loves the Lords of Fortune but when he was 15 he had a moment where he wanted to find out who he really is for himself. And so he ventured into a search for the Dalish Clans, after reading a lot about the elfs and elven culture in his spare time. Nifft did manage to find a Clan that was willing to let him stay with them and learn their customs and culture. He earned his right to receive vallaslins at such a young age, as they deemed him mature mentally. After going through the meditation and rituals, he received Mythal's vallaslins. He really wanted to feel a connection to his own people, but unfortunately they didn't really accept him fully, didn't accept who he really was - they wanted him to act more like them and less like him. So he left and returned to the Lords. After all, everyone he loved were back at the Lords and he didn't feel any connection with the Dalish in the end.

He flirts and kisses and sleeps with all sorts of people once he's back in Rivain - manages to sleep with a member of each race and is proud of it. Nifft has a big heart and can have multiple crushes at the same time, whenever he sees a beautiful person he can't help but stop and appreciate them.

When he's 17 and out on a mission related to a Fangscorcher's lair, be acts a bit too reckless and stupid. There's another boy in the crew that Nifft finds extremely beautiful and can't help but flirt and act cool in front of him. So when the mission turns bad, meaning the dragon shows up and starts throwing fire at them, lighting their boat on fire and throwing it in the air, Nifft is too busy looking at the boy he likes and doesn't see the burning pieces of the boat that are coming his way. He suffers 3rd-degree burns on a big part of his body, he loses his right eye as it melts down and his right ear's tip is ripped off. He somehow survives this, his fellow crew members getting him out of the fire and carrying him to a healer as soon as possible. When he wakes up in the infirmary, bandages covering his whole body, he finds the pretty boy from the crew next to his bed. Nifft gets called stupid the moment he creaks out a "hi" and tries smiling at the boy lol but also gets his hand held so it's a win for him. Nifft confesses his attraction and that he really wanted to look cool in front of the guy, not almost burn to death. The boy promises Nifft to wait for his recovery so that they can go out.

After this Nifft wears a fake eye, gifted to him by the Lords that they had specially made for him while he was recovering. Nifft is so happy that he won't have to cover up his face with an eye patch.

Nifft doesn't cover up his burnt skin! He wears it with pride, because he actually is proud he survived this and he thinks that the scars make him look more wild and hot. He wears very reveling clothes, not just because it's hot in Rivain lol but because he knows he looks good and doesn't want to take away the pleasure of others and hiding his pretty body from them.

Nifft loves jewelry! He spends a good amount of time picking out what to put on for the day! Gold is his favorite as he thinks it looks gorgeous against his skin (and he's not wrong)

He got his body tattoos after fully recovering from the burns. Made the designs himself.

Nifft loves cooking! He also bakes a lot and makes the softest and tastiest bread among his fellow Lords lol During DATV he mostly bakes as he sees Lucanis is having a lot of pleasure into cooking for the team, so Nifft only offers to prepare the bread to go along with it.

Having to leave the Lords after killing the Rivaini noble and destroying the artifact was so hard for Nifft... Varric saw how hard it was on this young boy and made sure he was always there for him and always took care of Nifft! Nifft heard the stories about Hawke and Kirkwall a million times during their travels together but it was always Nifft that asked Varric to tell them again and again!

Nifft does have a crush on all of the DATV companions plus more. The first time he meets ex-Inquisitor Samahl Lavellan, Nifft almost falls down on his knees as Samahl is one of the prettiest people he's ever laid eyes on. He has a crush on Dorian Pavus as well and when Nifft learns Dorian and Samahl are together???? The idea of those two gorgeous people kissing keeps him awake too many nights lol

He and Taash are such besties! Nifft hasn't worked with Taash on Lords of Fortune missions before, which is kinda insane to him. They spend lots of night in the Lighthouse just drinking and sharing adventure stories in Taash's room. Most of the time Nifft doesn't even bother making it back to his room, just lays down next to Taash, cuddling them.

Nifft and Neve almost kiss once! He isn't blind to Neve's irresistible charms, her beauty, her intelligence! He always makes the time to help her out with her cases as he knows they're important to her and one thing led to another and they found themselves inches away from each other's faces lmao

Nifft and Lucanis+Spite get along very well! Nifft and Spite match each other's chaotic vibes so well! As Nifft grew up in Rivain, he is more prone to actually hearing Spite and is able to have conversations with him. Lucanis is at first very embarrassed by this, as Spite is...well Spite lol but he can't deny that it's nice to have someone accept him like this, like an abomination (Nifft always scolds him when Lucanis calls himself that! "you're not an abomination! you're a miracle! one of the most beautiful miracles I've seen" which results in a very blushing Lucanis and laughing Spite) Nifft does end up kissing Spite before he's able to kiss Lucanis lmao Spite has taken control of Lucanis' body for a bit as Nifft was in the room and as he's seen Nifft kiss other people during their journeys (while visiting Rivain and the Lords with his new companions, he almost always ends up kissing one or many people as they greet each other), Spite moves in and smashes his lips to Nifft's. Nifft just slides his arms around Spite's neck, relaxing against him. Spite gets quite overwhelmed though lol so he gives the body back to Lucanis who is now opening his eyes to find himself kissing one of the prettiest boys he's seen hahaha and Nifft is pressing his body closer to Lucanis' and it's so hard for Lucanis to peel himself away but he knows he has to as he doesn't feel right doing this with someone so young. They stay friends though.

Do I have to say that Nifft finds age a stupid thing to judge someone on? lmao He so hates it when someone brushes him off because he's "so young and inexperienced". There were a lot of instances when Nifft deliberately hid his age from people he wanted to sleep with, because he felt like they would pull away from him. Nifft doesn't see the point of letting something like this stop people from finding little pleasures in life. Life sucks enough already without limiting yourself.

Nifft and Emmrich end up getting together. Nifft was worried at first because in the team they all know he's 19 years old. And Nifft is so afraid that this will make Emmrich keep away from him. Avoid him even. But surprisingly Emmrich is as interested in Nifft as Nifft is in him!

Nifft loves gifting Emmrich all sorts of trinkets from his adventures as a Lord of Fortune! Also loves stealing golden jewelry from Emmrich's room when he's not feeling like wearing any of his own. They somehow become each other's anchors, keeping the other from flowing deeper into the sea of doubt.

Nifft turns 20 years old while trapped inside the Fade prison. The only person knowing when his birthday is among the companions is Taash and they just tiredly and sadly say one day "it's his birthday today.." and the companions end the day crying and trying even harder to work on a way to save Nifft.

Nifft has indeed been very reckless and action first, think later type of guy but once he gets out of the Fade prison and realizes how easy it is to lose everything, everyone...he actually makes the effort to stop and think more often before acting. The thought of making the people he loves worried like this again breaks his heart so he decides to do his best and keep himself safe for them. I'm not saying he was 1000% reckless before that! When he was way younger, before his dragon accident, he indeed was 100% reckless but at the age of 19 he has found more self control and ways to clear his head and not act based on emotions.

❛ uh....thats a REAL big grin ya got there tiny. ❜ and a real big knife. one almost the exact same size as her. unless she was about to kill the mother of all bugs in the hotel he should probably try and get the weapon off of her. the thought was fleeting though, wanting to keep all of his arms. ❛ whatcha up to ? ❜
