I lost access to the internet for five days straight; a product of old tech in my home because spectrum neglected to send new devices to me this time around and I simply forgot to expect it.
In that time, I played through all three Mass Effects with one Commander Shepard (I fell short like 500 in military strength for the perfect ending where Shep survives 🫠). Thanks for breaking my heart over a beautiful character like Thane, but also wtf Bioware? Kaidan accuses Shep of cheating (lol wut?)?? Even though he sends a msg about seeing someone else in ME2. And I was sufficiently irked by the low-key coercive sexual harassment/assault (I didn't take it there when I looked it up because ewww) of James Vega (WHY THO!?).
I also finally played Greedfall, a game I bought years ago and promptly forgot about, where statis, rolling, and rifles were life and I cried at the end of it. My only regret was not being able to have Kurt and Vasco and Siora all together. Just let me have my adventuring harem pls.
My daughter had her graduation party AND I'm currently in the testing/interview trenches of a new job.
Internet was reinstated as of like... three days ago? But going without it put me into a sort of interpersonal death spiral soooo, idk, I'll prolly doxx myself to some of the wonderful people I've met in fandoms because otherwise I ask myself wtf am I even doing? Friendship means being vulnerable, putting yourself out there for others to accept or decline as they see fit, of being brave enough to face any rejection and brush it off.
