hey, thanks for asking!! first off, i wanna say that i agree with the pro-choice argument that women should have rights, and also specifically bodily rights! i am not against freedom and each person’s personal choice, as long as that choice does not end another person’s life.

my first reason is that abortion is murder and i do not condone that in any way. there is no difference in how much of a person someone is simply because they have been alive longer and have learned more things.

my second reason is that i am not racist, nor against people with down syndrome. denying those people the ability to kill their child does not make me either of those things. minorities and babies with down syndrome make up the majority of performed abortions. lemme give you some statistics:

in 2015 in mississippi, 79% of abortions were performed on the babies of Black women. in the same year, over 60% in DC, 59.4% in georgia, and 58.4% in alabama were also performed on babies of Black women. we must also take into account that 79% of Planned Parenthood’s facilities (a huge percentage of abortions) are placed within walking distance of Black and Hispanic communities (info here). another article says, "Nearly 40% of all abortions in America since Roe v. Wade have been from Black Americans. . . . Yet Black people make up just 14% of the U. S." (here)

in the case of babies with down syndrome, 60% to 80% of babies diagnosed with down syndrome--in the U.S. alone--are aborted (info here).

i have numerous other reasons that I don't really have time to explain at the moment (such as the fact that having an abortion has long-lasting effects on women, babies in the womb are proven to be living human beings, life begins at conception, abortion is in no way, shape, or form "healthcare," the "keep you laws off my body" argument is invalid because babies in the womb have a separate body from their mother, babies in the womb are scientifically not parasites, etc., etc.) but i will gladly expand on these reasons more if you're interested.
