@givebloodnhs Dedicated to all the lives that have been saved and made better by my donations ❤ One reason that makes the hour it takes to donate worthwhile is my blood could have been given to as many as 450 babies over the years as it's classed as Neo (neonatal). Meaning essentially I have pure blood. There is a virus we can get when we are toddlers, which I never contracted, and the anti-bodies produced stay in the body for life. Therefore this makes the blood unsuitable to give to babies.
