When I was around 11, I used to absolutely adore reading and spent all my free time in a book. I cam across this one book that really grabbed my attention- though I have forgotten the name and have never been able to find it since- it opened something up inside of me. Witches are real. I have read lots of different fictional books, but this one seemed legit. My first introduction to real witchcraft happened.
It has taken me 10 years to finally start getting serious with my witchcraft, but I finally got here. I am now 21, still reading a lot, and learning so much about witchcraft. I wanted to start this blog to hopefully find other witches, but also to document my journey into witchcraft.
So, where am I now in my journey?
I have set up my altar, I am watching different witches on YouTube, and keeping a grimoire of everything I am learning and want to remember, as well as reading lots of different books on witchcraft. When I tried to start witchcraft before, I think I always went for the old, leather-bound book that I thought would give me all the wisdom I need, but I recently found lots of books that are modern, not religious (such as Wicca or Pagan) and they have taught me that this is a personal journey and basically everything can be personalised. That was what I was lacking before when trying to learn.
This is it for my first blog, but I will write more soon, including the books I have been reading, and YouTube channels I watch.
