i have a question, i intend to do a spell an use a charm as i've heard it keeps the spell and i can carry it everywhere or smt like that, what i dont undersant is how to put a spell on a charm / talisman, could u help me out? idk who else to ask an you seem to know quite a lot about witchcraft and spells
hi! sorry it took me a bit to get to answering you
first I wanna mention that this is my main blog, I have a witchcraft blog @sophia-the-hearth-witch (it's just that in communities you can only post and comment from your main, but I don't normally talk about my witchcraft stuff here lol)
I love charms that you can carry with you a lot because it does "keep the energy with you" there are a few different ways you can put a spell on a charm or talisman is by just focusing your intent on it during spell work for example, if you wanted to make a luck charm out of a bracelet or something, you can do a luck spell and during it, hold the bracelet and focus on all the spell's energy being absorbed and stored in the bracelet but you can make almost anything into a charm/talisman
two of my favorite charms are sachets and necklace bottle charms
for sachets I usually will get or make a small bag (most times I use a color associated with the spell) and I'll fill it with crystals, herbs, and occasionally I'll add a piece of paper with a rune binding (you can do sigils as well, I'm just norse pagan so I tend to use runes) on it I will almost always do a small candle spell where I roll a chime candle in the same herbs as I put in the sachet and carve any rune bindings on the candle as well I see the candle burning as a sort of "charging" the sachet and I'll spend time focusing on my intent while preforming the spell sachets are easy to make and easy to carry around you can keep them in your pocket, purse, or bag and just need to occasionally put them out in the moon or sunlight to re-charge them here's a picture of a sachet I made a friend that was meant to bring her peace and self-love:
similarly, the necklace bottle charms are done the same way, but all the spell components go into and on the bottle (I usually use a candle that is a corresponding color for the spell and will use this candle's wax to seal the bottle and I tend to paint the runes on the outside of the bottle as well as put a small paper in it) bottle charm necklaces are nice because you can have a cute little necklace to wear just like the sachet, the idea is to keep it on your person and to recharge it in the moon or sunlight her is a picture of a luck bottle charm I did:
I also want to mention that sometimes you may feel that the purpose of a charm or talisman has been fulfilled and often times when that's the case it's good to sort of "release it" For sachets I tend to burn them to release their energy and bottle charms I'll disassemble them, putting the herbs and crystals outside in nature and recycling the bottle this isn't a requirement but just and idea to consider
I hope this helps >.< but feel free to ask any follow-up questions, I love to help where I can 💙
