Jive opened an office in America in 1983. Because of the Thomas Dolby co-written and produced Whodini's It's All In Mr. Magic's Wand the label became associated with hip-hop. London Bridge Is Falling Down is produced by Roy Carter (of Heatwave) and engineered by Nigel Green (of Willesden Dodgers) who both worked on Whodini's first album in London
