Thanks, friend.  This isn’t today, but I do get to see Panic! at the Disco this weekend, so that’ll be fun.

Oh, also, the Ted Bundy confession tapes documentary is on Netflix, so that’s amazing.

As for the writing, I’m sure I’ll think of something soon.  Especially since Gin is getting more comfortable with the Shadows as time goes on.

Full name: “I go by many names, I’ve been around for a very long time.  As such, different cultures have called me different things.  At one time I was worshipped as a goddess of souls…of life and death.  I believe they referred to me as ‘Yulla’ at that point.  After that civilization began to pass, they viewed me as more of a…vampiric creature, which I suppose holds true, but I was then referred to as ‘Ulva.’  Sounded similar, different dialects…whatever.  I’ve also been thought of as an elemental of some sort, then I was called ‘Soros,’ or ‘Obscura.’  Recently, though, I’ve been going by ‘Pyra.’  It seems to have stuck for a little while.”

2. Best friend: “I suppose that would be my familiar, Siete.  He takes on the form of a silver fox for the most part.”

3. Sexuality: “Pansexual and polyamorous.  I live far too long to tie myself to one mortal that I will outlast.”

4. Favorite color: “Red.  Blood red.”

5. Relationship status: “Open for playmates.  Why?  Are you inquiring?”

6. Ideal mate: “One that could keep up with me.  That wouldn’t mind my…ways.  And by that, I do mean the occasional reaping of souls.”

7. Turn-ons: “Mayhem, mostly.  Fine wine.  Dancing.  I’ve found over my long life that I enjoy the finer things in life.”

8. Favorite food: “Mortal foods change so often.  I am partial to French cuisine, though.”

9. Crushes: “My dear, I don’t have ‘crushes.’  Again, since others have the tendency to live far shorter lives than I, I see no use in hiding who I am attracted to.  I will tell you if I am.”

10. Favorite music: “Tchaikovsky was always a favorite of mine.  Any orchestral music, including such things as orchestral metal.”

11. Biggest fear: The shadow spirit taps one long finger against her chin for several moments before answering.  “My final death.  I’m not immortal, just…ageless.  I heal faster than mortal races and tend to live much longer than them.  It’s why I try not to get too close to anyone.”

12. Biggest fantasy: “Finding someone who shares my…vision.”

13. Bad habits: “Do stealing souls and occasionally draining people of their blood count?  If so, those.  Also drinking, I suppose.”

14. Biggest regret: “I don’t regret anything.  Distracts me from the present.”

15. Best kept secrets: “Now why would I tell you my secrets?  Not that I really have any, but still.”

16. Last thought: “I do hope Siete comes back from hunting soon.  I’m famished.”

17. Worst romantic experience: “It was a long while ago and it ended in a witch hunt.  They were hunting me, if that wasn’t clear.  If I remember correctly, that was back in the days when I was called ‘Ulva.’ ”

18. Biggest insecurity: Pyra shrugs.  “What do I have to be insecure about, dear?”  (She’s vain, the answer is her appearance.)

19. Weapon of choice: “Shadows.  Occasionally I use a stiletto dagger I keep tucked in my garter.”

20. Role Model: “Myself.”

An old ask that’s languished far too long, probably inspired by the fact that Seraanna’s faceclaim, Emma Dumont, played Lorna Dane (Polaris, who has green hair) in The Gifted. So...

Seraanna would be aghast to wake up with green hair. Not “screaming at the mirror in horror” aghast - after all, she had to deal with the physical changes of becoming ren’dorei less than two years ago, and this is merely a change in hair color.

“...no, this state of affairs simply must not... stand.”

Really - how do you reconcile the dark purples of of the void with... green? Azeroth doesn’t even have Joker cosplay (gender-swapped or otherwise).

Green hair is not an indignity she’d endure for longer than she must. Seraa would make an appointment with a stylist at their earliest convenience - paying to make it earlier, if possible - to return her hair to a more... acceptable shade. And might attempt to cover up a little bit until then.

Pyro: What makes them absolutely livid?

“S’pose th’easiest way t’describe it would be ‘injustice.’  ‘M no’ talkin’ ‘bout breakin’ th’law or some ‘orseshit like tha’.  ‘M talkin’ ‘bout th’overlooked child ‘n th’streets tha’ gets punished fer swipin’ a bloody apple ‘cause she’s ‘ungry an’ cannae afford t’feed ‘erself.  Talkin’ ‘bout up’oldin’ th’law t’th’point tha’ it ‘arms people.  An’ don’ get me started on those ‘at think they’re better’n everyone else ‘cause they’re noble or a ‘igh rankin’ military official or a religious official or some shit.”  Gin pulled out a cigarette at this point, placing it in her mouth and inhaling deeply to light it.  “Y’ain’ shit.  We all hafta live on this planet, so get over yerself.”

“Awful.  Ah am authority an’ ah ‘ate it.  Ah don’ take orders well.  Ah’ll take ‘em, bu’ ah complain th’enitre time.  There wus a reason ah left organized military in th’firs’ place, mate.”

“Drinkin’, huntin’, spendin’ time with m’family.  Also do enjoy sketchin’ an’ a bit o’leather workin’, ‘s surprisin’ly calmin’.  ‘Course, sometimes ah imagine certain people’s faces in th’leather as ‘m workin’, an’ then it jus’ ruins wotever ‘m workin’ on.”
