As soon as I saw pictures of NASA's newly discovered planet, TOI 1338b, I knew I had to make a painting ๐ It seems a shame to give such a beautiful planet a boring scientific name ๐ญ
Here's some of what NASA said about the new planet:
Researchers working with data from NASAโs Transiting Exoplanet Survey Satellite (TESS) have discovered the missionโs first circumbinary planet, a world orbiting two stars. The planet, called TOI 1338 b, is around 6.9 times larger than Earth, or between the sizes of Neptune and Saturn. It lies in a system 1,300 light-years away in the constellation Pictor.
