I haven't been back out to work on the writing shack in a bit. Instead I've worked on things at home: Installed a new mailbox so hopefully our mail stops getting wet (plus painted the door to under our porch that it hangs on) Learned our electric mower can basically vacuum up leaves and mulch them at the same time with the bag on the back, eliminating the need to rake. (Mower pictured here about to mulch leaves next to my company pile before I realized this, bag of mulched leaves after revelation.) Created a little greenhouse for my avocado plant on the balcony. It's happier outside and should be OK if it's kept from a hard freeze. I grew it from a pit. Finally finished a cabled sweater for Adam. Last week some jerk blasted through my front yard, across the entire thing slamming into my mailbox, my shop sign, a speed limit sign, my garden and narrowly missed being wrapped around a telephone pole. Seriously, missed by like 2 feet. We went a week without mail while we waited for the new post, kit and box to arrive. My old mailbox was this gorgeous Amish made wood barn that I found on Etsy and we LOVED it. But after the idiot crashed thru it, there was literally nothing left. So I decided to paint this one (to make it a little easier to handle on our budget since another wood one wasn't gonna happen) and I love how it turned out. My hubby thinks I should sell them in my shop.
