Leafed alone, garlic & spinach growing good! 🤓👍 . Naturally leaf mulch from Chinese Pistache left on a terraced bed provides cool, crisp cover for winter crops: garlic, spinach, artichokes, kale, onions, mache, & ?? (Can’t remember everything I planted 😬) . Been very dry—we’re still in “Fire Season—so will have to check after any rain to see if things get too heavy / matted. But supposed to be a very dry winter (“The New Normal” 🙄) so we’ll see. . My yarrow got so tall especially this one clump. I wished I could bring some in last fall but allergy issues for others.
