Mercy76 week - The Conclusion?
So, Mercy76, like all things, has come to an end. It was a fun ride, wasn’t it?
First of all, a BIG THANK YOU to all who have shared their work for the week.
We had so many fanarts from artist known and unknown (until now that is) and we read fanfics from recognized writers and from rookie ones (who had shown their mettle and earned their place in our Mercy76 library).
I wish I could thank every single one of you but... what the hell I’m gonna do it anyway!

I’ve never expected that a simple celebration for the ship between Mercy and Soldier:76 could generate so much love! Many long time fans of the ship like myself were surprised and pleased by the numerous responses to the call. However, the most incredible thing was seeing people from other ships appreciate our ship and the content featuring it! Even better, many started shipping our OTP during the week!
I will share some numbers with you. All data is relative to the official Mercy76week blog updated at Feb 28th and may not be a complete representation of real success of the week (but the last post arrived today so...)
At the beginning of the week the blog had 208 followers. This number raised to 244 after the week has passed. There have been 89 contributions, divided into 35 fanfics (of which 3 letters) and 53 fanarts (of which 19 comics) and a single video contribution. All contribution have been in English, save for a single Japanese comic. The total contributors are 29, of which 12 authors and 21 artists (4 are a mix of the two).
The most active participant has been @ufficiosulretro with 8 posts, followed by @n00dl3gal and @thejenno92 with 7 posts (the only ones to have contributed to ALL days) and @pviane, @xavirne and @princevolker2788 with 6 posts.
The post count for each day is day 1 Firsts - 20 posts, day 2 Support - 18 posts, day 3 Family - 11 posts, day 4 Reunion - 8 posts, day 5 Vacation - 9 posts, day 6 AU - 7 posts and day 7 Freestyle - 9 posts. In addition to these, 6 contributions have been submitted with no clear day to refer them to and one, from our dear @kazoomiller, was a collection of pics for all days.
All in all, the result is very positive despite the numbers aren’t quite as high as other ship weeks featuring more popular ships. However, this is not the end of it as I feel this is a new beginning for our little fandom or, as many came to know it, our family.
