Our next focus in #SIMSseries is this little friend! Ms. Codex 141 is a mid-15th century German prayer book and processional containing psalms, litanies, antiphons, and chants. So small, it would have been easy to carry in a pocket.

Neume. The earliest neumes were inflective marks indicating the general shape, but not necessarily the exact notes or rhythms to be sung. Predates the 5 lines and 4 spaces invention of notation.
