Network 2/RTÉ Two Commercials with News 2 Bulletin and Weather - December 2001 (Edited)
From the http://www.transdiffusion.org/ archives...
Adverts, promos and idents from RTÉ's Network 2 in 2002. With thanks to Con Logue for contributing the tape 13 years ago.
Oh no, not another murder! - Some late night, in-vision continuity from Network 2's N2 incarnation ('97-'05). Did anyone in Ireland even watch Water Rats?

A promo for Network 2 (aka RTÉ Two)'s "comedy night" from around 2001. Not a bad line-up, but I think I was well over watching Father Ted repeats even then.
And for those wondering, my extensive internet research tells me that TV to Go was a BBC One sketch show from around the same time starring Robert Webb and Hugh Dennis among others.
More old shitty ads.
Technical blah: The Pepsi ad looks less noisy than the rest because I had two different recordings of this and was able to combine them with AviSynth (using merge). The EBS ad was grainy as hell, I could have used heavier de-noising but whatever.
Some AviSynth plugins/filters used:
QTGMC - for de-interlacing (only applied where required, e.g. some fades, caption animations, and field-blended/fully interlaced ads)
srestore - for restoring field-blended film e.g. Pepsi and Playtex ads (probably both NTSC->PAL conversions)
MCTemporalDenoise (v1.4.20 mod 3.7 by 06_taro, original by LaTo) - for noise reduction (motion comp)
FFT3DFilter - for extra de-noising of chroma plane (VHS sucks yo)
nnedi3 - for restoring frames where only one field was present (often occured at first or last frame of ad, and the stills in the Harp ad)
