I don't want to sound like an entitled spoiled asshole (which is probably how I will sound and I apologize) but why is Ferdinand not even named on the series cast list but they named Hob's actor for the audio book? Someone posted today the series and audio cast and I couldn't help but noticed Hob/Ferdie is not even in the list which is odd because literally everyone was, am I missing something?
Okay, I mean this in the nicest possible way, but y'all have GOT to stop stressing over whether a character (especially one who, despite becoming a fan favorite after the series dropped, is still a minor half-episode character) appears in some random list or in the promo material or wherever. I have recently had a lot of people in my inbox concerned about whether this Signifies Something or if we should comb through it for some subliminal sign that they actually hate Hob/Ferdinand or whatever the underlying anxiety seems to be. Take a deep breath and try not to dwell on whether everyone is trying to secretly slight your favorite or so on, k?
Anyway, this is likewise notice for anyone else with similar concerns that I'm probably not gonna bother answering the same version of this ask in the future. They love Ferdinand. We love Ferdinand. Hob canonically has more to do in the comics, the writers' room was very positive about Dreamling and the interviewed writer called them a "fan favorite" relationship, there is no secret agenda to slight Hob, now let's all calm down and go back to Having Feelings. It's more fun that way.
