And THIS is what happens to ME days, weeks, sometimes even months AFTER I've weathered a high stress situation (or ten) **sigh/yawn** Eventually my body rebels by releasing, then attacking, excess proteins in my blood .. or something like that. I forget exactly, but basically it's an autoimmune thing that acts kind of like a blood allergy. Nice huh 😕 Symptoms always begin with the junky-style itching in the veins/arteries closest to the surface of the skin -- at my wrists, the palm pad of my thumb, neck, bend of elbow/knee, etc. -- and a red, welty, itchy, hot, blotchy rash forms in what seem like random areas of my body usually from the back of my calves, anywhere on my thighs, arms, shoulders, chest, and neck spreading outward, but NEVER onto my feet, torso or face. No its not catchy *rme* I can't give it to anyone, and no it never advances beyond an unattractive, itchy annoyance into something worse like sores or calluses 😒 It only ever happens maybe once every few years, and typically goes away in a day or three with some rest, zen time, and LoOoTs of liquid Benadryl. As for the nasty on my lower lip ..? I haven't been ill in any way. Not even a headache! It's just another sign that my immunity is temporarily compromised (the itchy mess and blisters on my lip often go hand-in-hand.) It all just makes me feel so damn purdy 💩 LOL #autoimmunedisease #mybodysrebellingagainstme #nervousmuch #itchy #putaforkinme #stressedout #highstress #autoimmunedisorder
