I don't understand why neovim users would want to learn a new separate syntax just for configuration. like having one syntax command for "create this short cut for the rest of this session" and "create this short cut every time on start up" seems much easier to me.

The OBJECTIVELY CORRECT way to use obsidian is to edit the files exclusively in neovim, and watch the obsidian window for changes / rendering.
Actually, this works better than you might think! Obsidian readily monitors changes in the file, so it kinda works out really well. +1 for obsidian.

is it a bad take if I say I prefer to edit my config files (or any files for that matter) in nano instead of vim?
Y'all new project (we're switching to neovim!)
this has been a long time coming and we've been using vim for a while but never got around to learning neovim we started with the kickstart.nvim thing today and have been setting up dependencies for that on our nixos system and now we're just learning the default keybinds and figuring out how things work hopefully gonna start properly configuring this to our liking next week this is gonna be fun!

vim feels like star trek - "computer ! delete the next 3 words"

If you're on a laptop with integrated graphics, apparently IDEs like pycharm use 70% CPU choppy-style when scrolling... come over to neovim (lightweight text editors in general, ig).
