¡Qué pasa, Neng!: el videojuego
[PS2] [SPAIN] [MAGAZINE] [2007]
"Neng de Castefa is possibly Edu Soto's best-known character. He played a young, loud, hyperactive man from the neighborhood, obsessed with his car (which he called a "buga") and with becoming a DJ . This character was a parody of the urban tribe of maquineros (machinists) from the Barcelona town of Castelldefels (not the later "cani" urban culture, as popular belief has it), related to Spain's Bakalao culture. This character was synonymous with his catchphrase, "qué pasa, neng! " The name neng comes from the Catalan word nen, meaning "boy" or "kid," and colloquially takes on a meaning similar to "uncle ," while the addition of the letter "-g" gives it a sound similar to that used in Catalonia by those the character was parodying. In addition, El Neng was notable for his wardrobe, which consisted of a green T-shirt with yellow sleeves decorated with the Chinese character 能 on the back (pronounced the same way in pinyin as neng ), blue sweatpants, and sneakers. He also sported a crew cut with tapered sideburns and a pair of cheap sunglasses that were perpetually perched on his forehead. Neng's popularity was such that he had his own video game for PlayStation 2. Even a music CD (double CD+DVD) was released in 2005 with the motif of his character in Buenafuente called: Qué Pasa, Neng!" ~es.wikipedia, based on machine translation
