Alternate earth sort of equivalent to 1800s where it is even bigger and is encroaching into "Europe " only the landmasses are slightly different and the history diverged like thousands od years ago so things are tilted, twisted into different shapes with sparks and shadows of familiarity

(I hesitate to start because how do I get enough research for this, convincing alternate history and not make it too close)

And it's also one of the competitors on the "North American" continent (South or is that not invaded yet..) . There are several powerful countries there already. They resist.

Also there are telekinetics and mindreaders

And a prince from another world appears -- throwing in a whole new dynamic

In sketchy form /short novellas w sketchy world building

But I have Ideas, shreds of stories in my head, characters' beating hearts...

I just don't know if it would be worth it. Doing all the research for worldbuiling and doing it right. I don't want it to seem too close an analogue... world obs dif but not want to be too obviously lesson or sth... mainly Stories w perhaps some resonance for now. Mainly character focused, universal human things explored
