Though sometimes it seems that he himself doesn't understand it. Ivy, who obviously knows them all best, emphasises it quite much that a lot of his drama is just an act. So yes, it's him having fun, especially with Alisa because she always was his main target and also is the one who loves fighting as much as he does, but it could also be him covering up his growing soft spot for his friends from them and possibly himself.
