NECTA is an R&B singer based in Seoul, South Korea. She made her debut in 2020 with the EP “Slushed Hours.”
I first discovered NECTA through her single with Mckdaddy called “By Your Neck.” I was immediately drawn to her sweet (yet somehow menacing) vocals mixed with the song’s hypnotic, mysterious groove. In a previous Instagram AMA she stated that some of her influences were Rihanna, Sevdaliza, & sega bodega, among others.
Not much is known about miss NECTA as she’s still considered a new artist, but she’s incredibly talented and seems to have a strong sense of direction and aesthetic, so I’m hoping her music will continue to rise in popularity.
OH, and she apparently has something new coming within the week, so keep an eye on her!
