i think (one of) my (many) problem(s) is that I just really want to draw OC stuff and not fandom stuff, but fandom stuff is what people interact with. Like yeah the Drawing Blorbos brain juice is GOOD and better for me but the Number Go Up brainjuice is POTENT and ADDICTIVE.
im just gonna say it because im shameless and know what i want but there is not enough post-canon fjorjester having kids. i want cute pregnant jester in a loose flowy dress that billows in the wind when she stands on deck. i want nervous fjord doting over her and being awed at the idea of becoming a father, and what that means to him. i want passionate lovemaking, literal baby making sex and everything after that. it is a crime against me specifically that these things are not available to me readily.
last night when i was trying to sleep i brain-dumped an idea for a modern-with-magic small town au where taako is a recently-moved-here baker, magnus is a widower farmer, and kravitz works at the town’s only funeral home. Taako is like “oh no the guy who i buy eggs from is so cute but the guy who comes and buys all my leftover pastries at the end of the day is ALSO cute what should i do” but little does he know Magnus and Kravitz are friends and meet up once a week to talk about how cute the new baker is. and then they all fall in love.
Magnus has a chicken named Steven, and she is my new favorite thing.

ive been putting off this gum graft surgery i need to get because i was still in the "it's okay for now but you will need it eventually" territory and it's going to be an entire month's rent and scheduling it is going to mean I either have to do it when I'm on vacation (and not getting paid) or take off work (and not get paid) and it's just really stressing me out how much money it will be. my dentist is really nice and has already told me that I can do no interest payment plans for however long i need to but im very much a pay as much as i can upfront person so this also stresses me out. plus summer is coming and I don't get paid then so I need to also make sure im set up for those months too. The ideal situation is I would do commissions during the off time but lets be real as much as I enjoy doing work for my friends I don't really get hits outside of my very small circle, and it's not going to be enough to offset this surgery. I think about things like adoptables or ych sales to hit a broader range of people, but it's hard to create stuff when im stressed and i just have no good ideas.

Finally have had time to do some decorating in the apartment which means the space above my desk needed ART. I am fortunate enough to have lots of art people have done of my characters to choose from so it's always hard to narrow it down to just a couple pieces, but I think I've got a good selection here that will be inspiring to look at while I'm working :3

so currently i've got to schedule gum surgery with no dental insurance or I might lose some teeth, and a recent CT scan I got to get screened for IBS also revealed concerning finds in my bones and intestines, so I'm gonna need to get those examined/possibly treated, and 2025 is easily shaping up to be the most expensive year of my life between my health costs and my car problems and rent and the cat eating plastic earlier this year, and my first paycheck of the school year is disappointingly small and all of these medical procedures i need have to be done on weekdays so i have to take off work and i dont get sick days :,)
I bought the box set of the complete X-Files out of a bargain bin at a local used record store, and we've recently started working our way through it.
We're only five episodes in but I REALLY don't know if the show can possibly peak any higher after this
