You screamed her name as loud as you could, your throat aching both in fear and anguish. You kept yelling for her, tears running down your face as you looked around the room for her. “This isn’t funny! Show yourself!” But she didn’t, and she never will. You clutched the necklace in your bruised hand, nearly ripping it off your neck. 

“I know you’re mad at me but please tell me you’re here, tell me it isn’t true and you’re just being stubborn!” You sobbed and ignored the flare in your chest. “Stay mad at me, yell at me, never talk to me again but show me you’re here… please.” 

You waited, you waited for seconds that felt minutes, minutes that felt like hours but when she never appeared, you’re felt your heart chatter into thousands of pieces, your mind swirling into a mist of sorrow and regret as you sobbed. 

You sobbed until you couldn’t see anything around you until you couldn’t hear him burst into your room and bring you into his chest, until you couldn’t breathe anymore. “I’m such a horrible person. I should have never gone. If I never left, she would still be here! I’m sorry, I’m so so sorry.”
