Tracy introduced us to the mysteries of Mere Island. The naval base was stablished in 1854 it was once a very busy shipping yard manufacturing submarines and torpedoes with numerous expansive turn of the century brick buildings and naval oddities encompassed on a vast portion of the island. No somewhat a residential and business area with pub, restaurant and living spaces Mare Island still has a ghostly quality about it with old patinated buildings and officers quarters is a great place to play and explore. There is a lot of Burner art there to check out.
