The rules are language-specific.

გვფრცქვნი gvprckvni (IPA [ɡ̊ʷpʰɾt͡sʰkʰʷni]) is the second person singular subject, first person plural object form of ფრცქვნის prckvnis “peel”, essentially “you (sg) peel us”. I point that out because it seems people have cherry-picked a relatively extreme form. But of course, it is attested, so it is relevant when exploring how extreme phonotactics can get.

So, Georgian allows onsets of, by my count, 6 consonants. That’s unusually high, but clearly possible. Also, while I don’t know Georgian, but a quick check finds they do seem to have some rules to make these clusters easier: grouping together consonants with similar features with a single release and sometimes inserting schwas.

And English speaker who doesn’t know Georgian will struggle with this word because the rules of English are different! We only allow up to three consonants in an onset, and only in a specific pattern of s + [stop] + {l, r}.

But Georgian has rules, too, and it can’t do some things that English can. For instance, it has no diphthongs, where English has between 3 and 7 depending on the dialect. Georgians probably have some difficulty with our vowels generally, since they seem to have a common five vowel triangle while English has between 10 and 13 monophthongs (as a concrete example, beat and bit might be a hard distinction). They also don’t have our “th” sounds ([θ] and [ð]). These are just things that stick out when looking at the phonologies of the two languages.
