Blue Hill Diner was a regular stop for Axel. He wasnât a fan of cooking for himself and he wasnât that great at it despite his mamiâs attempts to teach him throughout his life. Little patience was likely to blame for it. This meant he frequented restaurants, bar and grills, or lived off ready made food that he could just grab and go. The diner was one of his favorite places, though. It was on his side of town, not far from his work or home. Food wasnât bad and the prices were good. Heâd even gotten to know the staff over the years, so he knew what cooks and servers were the best. When he got there he sat in Natalieâs section on purpose. Heâd been meaning to hit her up for some more artwork and it was just as easy to catch her at work.Â
âMmm, âey there sunshine, I was hopinâ to run into you.â He drawled with a smile as she approached the table. His eyes scanned her quick before he set down his menu and gave the woman his full attention. âSee, I found this blank spot on my chest and I was thinkinâ you should fill it with somethinâ.â A smile spread across his face while he stared at that pretty face of hers. Honestly, he enjoyed her company. Liked her art style, too. She really was like a ball of sunshine, shining light wherever she was. It was refreshing from most of the people he dealt with on a regular basis. At the same time, most of them he was resolving debts with or shaking them down for something else. âWhat are you up to after work?â He asked, an eyebrow raised and a sly smile playing on his lips.
