Some anonymous user sent me a link to this website and told me to give it a go, so I thought, why not?

I don’t know how they got my email or how they were even able to send something that slipped past the COI’s systems, but, well, they did say this site was like a window into the multiverse. It got me curious, okay?

Anyway, hi! I’m Narra. I’m a researcher for the Consolidation of Iron, currently studying AT-5. It’s a moon with an ocean of blood on it. Crazy.

So yeah, uh…there’s not a lot for me to do here, I’m mostly just waiting for data from the SM-13 while combing through the same batches of photos over and over.

Yeah, sorry, I’ll stop rambling now…

(Anyway here’s some pictures of Narra. I explained a bit of who Narra is in my main blog but basically they’re a researcher for the COI, they’re studying the blood moon using semi up-to-date data from the SM-13, and they don’t remember much from life before the Quiet Rapture because they were too young to remember anything lol.)

Oh, hi! I-I'm doing alright. Some anon's tried to turn me into a plushie, but honestly? I'm more interested in the material construction of whatever it summons than becoming a plushie.

(Narra says as they open their tablet.)

Oh, and Callie showed me this universe where stars and planets still exist! They have an Ava and a Simon there. Really cool stuff. (Narra is talking about @/wash-away-the-red)

I've also been experiencing these...whispers in my head. T-They're telling me to open this file I have saved in my file storage and read through it...

(Narra found the file to show to Aubrey. It was labeled, "At-5 and the rapture- by Ioanna Eyden". The whispers grew louder when they had the file on their screen, so they quickly tabbed out of it.)

Remember what Hope's Simon told you, Narra. Remember the lifevest. Remember the light.

This is important.

This is bigger than us.

(As the voice enters their mind, Narra sees the light of their computer turning itself on.)

(The computer has the file directory open. How it did that on its own? Narra couldn’t really think about that now.)

(A single file was highlighted. A .zip file.)

(The whispers are at their loudest now.)

(They must see the Light.)

(They must know.)

(You must know.)

(Narra’s hand rests on the mouse wheel as they consider.)

What do you mean the Convict is missing?

What do you mean we lost connection with the SM-13?

What do you mean the skeleton moved?

What do you mean he said he found something alive down there?

WHAT DO YOU MEAN HE’S BEEN GONE FOR TWO DAYS NOW?

…

(The data they had was equal parts disturbing and interesting, and Narra is now deep in the rabbit hole. They can't even think of a good reason to be doing this, even though this knowledge will definitely drive them mad.)

(It could be because Narra wants to use this knowledge to help, so that they can save their universe's Simon and Ava, however impossible it may be. Or, maybe, it's the whispers in their head driving them to do this. It could also be a selfish desire to learn, to comprehend the incomprehensible, to indulge their fascination of the horrors.)

(Maybe they're becoming obsessed with it, even.)

(They would never admit that, however. Not yet, anyway.)

(Narra unzipped the top half of their jumpsuit and removed it, draping it over the backrest of the chair. They also remove their glasses and their hair tie, setting both down on the desk.)

(They walk over to their air mattress and lie down, staring up at the ceiling as they try to sleep. It’s hard to do so, however, with how fucked up their body clock is.)

[Suddenly, the humanoid cat was sitting beside the two of them, staring around at the vegetation in wonder. Callie grinned and reached out a fist bump to Narra.]

[Upon responding to the fist bump, a portal opens under Narra's feet and he gets dropped down, back into his original universe, Callie's cackling in the background until it eventually grows quiet too.]

Wait, WAIT, WAAAIIIIT—

(Narra falls back down through the portal. Aw, man. Bye bye, Ava. Bye bye, Hope. It was fun while it lasted. Bye bye @wash-away-the-red)

(As Narra travels through the portal, they feel something shift, like someone has taken the reins and veered them to where they shouldn’t be going. The light around them turns from blue and starry to red. Something isn’t right. They have to call Callie, they—)

(Narra lands flat on their ass when they arrive back in their office/bedroom.)

Owww…

(Narra looks around. Nothing seems to have changed, so far. They stand up and look at the time. It’s the same. But still, something didn’t feel right.)

(It’s only when Narra opens their computer again when they realized.)

(They’ve been gone for exactly 48 hours.)

…shit. SHIT. FUCK—

(How!? Callie told them they would return to the exact time they left. That red light definitely did something, they just don’t know what.)
