weβre arguing when the ball drops on new yearβs eve, and decide to kiss and shit i donβt think i hate you anymore - souharu!
Wintery prompts - feel free to keepΒ βem coming!
βI really donβt see the damn point to all this,β Sousuke complained. Again.
βRin likes it. Itβs for Rin.β Haru reminded him as he plated up more appetizers to be brought out to the living room.
βI know. But this is still lame.β
βHeβs spent the last four years alone over the holidays in Australia. Let him have some fun.β Haru handed him the plate to take out as he turned back to the oven to check on more food. He heard Sousuke grumbling the entire time.
While Haru did agree that partying to celebrate the coming new year was rather tedious, he didnβt want to upset one of his closest and oldest friends. Rin had been away for so long, and he wanted to enjoy the time they spent together now that he was back. Plus, it made Makoto smile more than he had in months. And Haru was determined to make sure Makoto kept smiling.
He plated up the last of the food, grabbed a bottle of water for himself, and headed into the living room to join the large group gathered there.
βYou spoil him,β Sousuke muttered when heβd come up to join Haru.
βI do not.β
βYes, you do.β
βLike you donβt?β Haru turned to give the taller man a glare just as Rin cried out excitedly. The New Year bells started ringing, and Haru made a choice.
He reached up on his tiptoes, grabbed Sousuke by the collar of his flannel and pulled him in for a kiss. A long kiss. A deep kiss. A kiss that let everyone in the room know exactly who Haru belonged to.
βTo another year, Sousuke.β
βYeah, another year, Haruka.β Sousuke grabbed Haruβs left hand and brought it to his lips, kissing the silver ring heβd placed on Haruβs finger well over a year ago.
