My book launch event was on Wednesday this week, and boy did I have an absolutely wonderful time! I was as nervous as could be, but looking out into a room filled with friends and family and coworkers who were excited to celebrate with me and support me made it so so wonderful! The bookstore had a dozen books and sold out, and many many thanks to @stirlingbooks1 for having me (and for the lovely decaf coffee)!! Independent bookstores are such a treasure, and this one is no exception. My grandma is the only person I named a character after in NAMELESS QUEEN: Esther Merelda, named after Esther Zelda. Today, my book came out, and she went to a B&N and bought my book. My cousin tells me she’s now sitting in a cozy chair, reading, crying, and smiling. My book is on sale as of today! I am officially a published author! So of course I woke up at 2 AM and am still now awake at 430 AM. I’m just so excited to be able to share this with you! It’s been the past 5 years of my life, and it has a lot of my heart in it, so take care! It’s basically my horcrux. Okay, this is a good case study for why I shouldn’t post on social media after midnight. But nevertheless, as of today, my book is out in the world. I hope you have a chance to fall in love with Coin. She’s a little bristly and tough (and sarcastic and steal-y), but she has a secretly soft, courageous heart.
