That reminds me—is it “Balrog’s Balls” or “Balrogs’ Balls?” I’d always assumed the plural, as in a confab of Balrogs being, ahem, bros, but realized while staring at the truck that that may not have been your intention.

I was tagged by @galacticsparkles , whom I had always associated with Sailor Galaxia, but no! (My first fandom is showing...)

So, Sailor Moon was my first major fandom, and I adore the Amazoness Quartet / Sailor Quartet. Only, in the English dub at the time, their name dropped the -ess and were just the Amazon Quartet.

I was also just starting my own Sailor Moon OC fanfic website, "Tower of Time: Otaku Senshi," and I needed a "cooler" pseudo character name to be a "Guardian" of the Tower of Time.

So, my OC persona is the fifth member of the Amazon Quintet, but in a sad bit of history, she had her dream mirror smashed and she died before she could make it to the canon story line.

Her name is ApolApol, or Sailor Apollos, and she was the musician of the group, and thus, the Song of the Amazon(ess) Quintet, which brings us to Song of Amazon.

So that's my extremely oblique Sailor Moon reference in a username.

Someday I want to cosplay Sailor Apollos.

I haven’t been asked this but I definitely got the answer. Funnily enough it’s kinda complicated and a bit of a long story of why I chose it and where it comes from and how I came across it.

So ever since I was young I always loved winter and the snow (hell I was born during a snowstorm) People would blame me whenever it snowed cause I would be the only one genuinely enjoying it. This reminded my dad of something he experienced when he was young and he shared it with me and my siblings once he was able to find it.

Back in like November of 1970, in Michigan (specifically the upper peninsula not the hand) they were having trouble getting snow and they needed it for the races. So a man named David Riutta decided to write a song to ask a Finnish snow god for help. (I believe he made the snow god up for this but I don’t really know) Either way this snow god’s name was Heikki Lunta (which translates to Hank Snow) So Mr Riutta makes the song and they blast it over the radio constantly. My dad remembers hearing it on the radio constantly that year. Then the snow hits, the song worked! But it worked so well that they had to cancel the races due to too much snow. Then the people blamed the song so Mr Ruitta made another song telling Heikki Lunta to leave. Since then it became a legend that if you play the song and shout where you want it to snow after it finishes, it should snow there within the next few days or so. According to my dad they tried it one year by shouting his uncle’s home and three days later his uncle calls and asks what they did cause there’s snow everywhere now. He gave me a look, knowing I’d try it. He knew I’d love the idea of it and he even made a comment once that maybe I have some of Hiekii’s abilities or something lol.

But I absolutely loved this story and honestly enjoy the song too. So my love for folklore and snow were bundled up into a neat little package. Bonus points for starting with the same letter as my actual name. Honestly like being called Lunta more. I officially chose it cause it felt right. Also if you read up on Heikki Lunta you might learn that he’s often depicted as a Goofy guy who likes to have fun, which I can definitely vibe with haha!

So in short Lunta comes from Heikki Lunta, which my dad got to experience, and as the snow queen of my family and friends, it just sort of slipped into place.

Actually, it’s kinda interesting!! I’m about as consistent with my screen names/sona’s as scarlet and violet is performance wise lol

I’ve seriously struggled settling on one for almost 4 years now, partly due to those years having A-LOT of changes going on. So every time I designed a new persona or found a name I liked, 2-3 months later it didn’t feel right anymore. I finally got out of a bad home and was able to live a more normal life, which subsequently lead to a stabler mental state ;D! That Christmas we had a wicked snow storm that kept us trapped for 3 days, huge bad weather fan here ;3, and while the news was on, they said,

“And we expect to have another snow flurry tomorrow”

I can’t explain why, the airy, light, and I guess “bubbly” sounding nature of it realm struck me. It felt like a fitting embodiment of my happier situation, that and it had a very nice sound too X3 So I ended up using it, but because “Flurry” was already taken everywhere, I had to adjust it and abuse the English language some to find an alternative!! Hence the funky lil name ;3!

yes, you most definitely can! alright, here we go!

The Distance of Differences: this is my all-time favorite fic. it actually got me into todobakudeku for good. before reading this, i really only into tododeku and never bakudeku or todobaku. but damn, the storyline was really interesting, and the characterizations were great. i loved the dynamic between shouto, katsuki, and izuku. plus, i liked seeing how they all interacted with their classmates years later. i go back to this fic when i'm having a bad day cause i know it'll cheer me up!

Don't Say Goodbye: this one sticks out as a favorite of mine for similar reasons to the last one: an interesting storyline and great characterizations. i really liked how respectful and thoughtful sasaki and miyano were of each other (nothing new, but great to see it lasted into adulthood). plus, it was just cool to see them be able be a little family.

Ten Years, One Torch: this is my favorite tododeku fic. probably because i think the characterizations are pretty on point and because if shouto and izuku are together, then i need katsuki and eijirou to be together too lol. i just think the background ships are really spot on which helped me fall in love with this fic.

Look at Me, I Hear You: i normally am not one to find alternate universe fics enjoyable, but this was an exception (probably because the characterizations were still spot on). i really liked how katsuki and eijirou find a way to communicate with each other even with their challenges. i used to be pretty sick/disabled, so i think i have a soft spot for fics that show disabilities in a way that is just a normal part of living.

Your Hand in Mine (In Every Universe): so i'm not a huge bakudeku fan (i'm really only into bakudeku if it's todobakudeku) but this fic was really creative and i really enjoyed it. i think the characterization of katsuki was really spot on, even with the different versions of him.

Falling in Love at the Photo Shop: i think i'm a sucker for some oblivious-in-love fics like this. it's just really cute when two characters already act like a couple, then they realize they love each other. this is the story i wish was canon lol

Love, or Something Like That: kinda similar to the last fic's reasoning. oblivious-in-love and acting like a couple. it was nice to have a fic about kazurei after the christmas party/pre-time skip. this is what i wish happened lol

Bakugo Katsuki's Guide to Ignoring PTSD: ok so i know i said i don't really like alternate universe fics, but i like this one okayyy? probably because i also have ptsd and it was just really relatable. i also love how katsuki's friends are just there for him. plus, todobakudeku!

Of Duckies, Justice, and Life's Other Mysteries: ok so i haven't posted this anywhere before because it's not a finished fic (and i do hope the writer finishes it!!). but i really like this fic--it takes up my brain space lol. it feels like a cross between link click and buddy daddies, so it's up my alley. i love the premise and just wish there was more!

Crash Course on Intoxication: i realize i don't have many satosugu fic favs because there story is just usually depressing. but hey look, here's an alternative universe fic (lol maybe i'm okay with alt uni fics idk). this one also isn't finished but i really like it so far. it i think how gojo acts in this fic is relatable for me (as i was a closeted queer in college) and idk the characterizations are believable to me.

now, imaginarylungfish? well, my favorite animal is a lungfish. why? lungfish live in drought-ridden environments. so, when there is water, they breathe through their gills. but when the water dries up, they secrete mucous that forms a protective cocoon around themselves. they go into torpor (like hibernation) while breathing with their lungs until the water returns. i think that is amazing! they are super resilient and idk i find that cool.
