â„ @naixmovesâ
sheâd been running her gaming channel for years now-- under a pseudonym, of course, so nobody would know her true identity, and therefore couldnât hound her off the internet. she got enough weird comments online, especially once she accidentally let slip that she was a high school girl. it would be worse if they found out who she was; a nobody, an outcast, a failing high school senior who was one step from becoming a shut-in.
one thing she couldnât deny, thanks to her lack of a real job, was money. and lemniscate had offered her quite a decent amount to partner with their rising idol, âa-setâ, who chiaki hadnât even heard of until recently. sheâd certainly never watched any of the girlâs videos, as embroiled as she was in her own playthroughs and walkthroughs.
so of course, the moment she walked onto set and was greeted with the sight of those familiar pink pigtails, she was flabbergasted.
âi... iris...â
how long had it been? they used to play shovelforge together in elementary school, and talk about games all day long... iris never wore a scowl when chiaki inevitably defeated her, and was always upbeat. chiaki could never hope to match her energy.
it made sense, then, that she was growing so popular. but that didnât do anything to bring back her social balance, and so she faltered visibly, unable to utter a word after her simple statement of the other girlâs name.
