El eyed Steve's plate like a wolf eyeing a wounded deer. His burger did look really juicy. The patty looked much thicker than the ones Hop got and put on that grill that smoked way too much. And the cheese looked good, too. Not that Kraft stuff that tasted like what they thought had to be plastic.
The teen glanced back at their own plate. But the sundae. It was no secret among their friends that El's sweet tooth was legendary. This banana split sundae was a perfect example. Real, thick whipped creme on top with five different flavors and scoops on the banana, drenched in hot chocolate sauce. All in all, the dessert offered the perfect blend of temperature, flavor, and texture.
