Onychomancy aka Nail Magic 💅🏽
Although, I am a glamour witch. I was never the kinda girl who got her nails done.
I did paint my nails often, so yes i was still doing nail magic. So you might be wondering what even is Onychomancy?
Onychomancy is a form of glamour magic and divination. For this post I’ll be focusing on the glamour aspect of it since I’m more familiar with it than divination. I will be referring to onychomancy as nail magic for the rest of the post. There are there are four aspects of nail magic you have to think about.
I’m going to use my own nails to breakdown these concepts
they’re super cute aren’t they?
Color magic is one of the oldest forms of magic yet a completed one. I encourage you to embrace your uniqueness when it comes to color magic. A lot of the information online is from the White Western perspective regarding the meaning. Use your lived in life experience too to guide you in this form of work. With that disclaimer out of the way, I am going to be using a mixture of personal western and eastern color meanings due to my background.
Nude: This color is used for the base of the nail. Nude are seen as simple, elegance, and authentic. The reason a lot of the wealthy tend to wear it is because it seamlessly blends in.
Red: The color of love & passion, which is highly favored during Valentine’s Day. The thought of red roses, and hearts but the red is not the focus of this nail set. It’s used to accent the piece.
Pink: Seen as a color of innocence. While being associated with girlhood, it also pleads to the girlhood dream lover. There is just something about wanting and seeking true love.
Bonus! for the nail art. It’s a French tips with hearts and kiss marks which furthers points to the romantic energy I’m looking to receive and give this month.
I decided to do a coffin this time around; I wanted to use fire energy which is about forward movement. My moon is also in Aries so I want to speak from the heart.
My nails are short. Which keeps me grounded to the reality of my situation.
Each finger has a difference planet and tarot card assigned to them. There are kiss marks on my ring and middle finger. Ring finger is the sun and the middle finger is Saturn. Is it cheeky that I placed two kiss marks on Saturn? Very much so; I’m trying to get on Daddy Saturn’s good side and my sun. It is almost like a thank you moment
In summary, this February I’m seeing my romantic relationship with elegance and cheeky flirty energy. There won’t be any complicated interactions due to the heavy influence of the nude color but romantic gestures will be received and given.
Within week of getting this set, my partner gave me red roses and I’m determined to bake him a cheesecake for Valentine times day.
I hope this helped get you familiarized with this topic of glamour magic. If you have any questions please let me know! Blessings to you darling 💋
