Bro, my early voting polling place had a 2 hour line during the MORNING HOURS. I'm tempted to just vote on election day just because i know my mom and dad cant wait in line for that long and our regular voting place usually takes 15 minutes. But like.... I PUT IN AN ABSENTEE BALLOT APP.... WHY ISNT IT HERE....
bro, I dunno, I saw the pics of the lines down there in NYC and frankly I found them shocking. My coworkers tell me the places near them have long lines, too. NY isn’t immune to voter suppression :c idk why your absentee ballot hasn’t come yet, but today was the last safe day to mail them, so yeah... voting in person will have to be the way for you. I’m sorry. I hope you and your family can find a good time for voting and it goes safely and quickly <3 Some states vote entirely by mail so it CAN be done. And heck, NY has a really big population (especially concentrated where you are) BUT the DMV manages to mail out all the licenses and expectations for car registrations, and the Labor Board mailed out all the unemployment stuff for all of us who lost our jobs/got furloughed... so we COULD do it!!

tbh its indicative of what i think of as Those People in the fandom that have been around since the Zutara days being absolutely terrible: just going for aesthetic appeal and angst and ignoring like; all the other concerns.
like shipping colonizers and indigenous people without these lightest bit of self-awareness on how this affects their characters, how to address it in fic. every time i see someone go ‘no way Katara would realistically choose Aang when she has Zuko to pine for’, I think “he marched onto her tribal land, manhandled her grandma and village elder, threatened them all, his people have been destroying her culture and people for a century, and the last time someone in that armor was there they burned her mother alive”
and then I add “gee, I wonder why she might not be thrilled at the idea of finding Zuko attractive”
though tbh its somewhere between fandom being shallow and people having this irrational hate for Aang. even when they’re not actively hating on him, they try to ignore him or diminish his character and it bugs me so much
I am in love with your style and the softness with which you portray relationships. In particular your bee/charlie and Max/furiosa stuff has me in awe. The color choices, poses, and just pure -love- involved is amazing. Kudos!!
