As a mother, I worry about all my kids but a bit more about my one and only daughter. Two days in a year used to get me kinda depressed and those were, one on my sweetheart’s birthday (worrying about her future) and the second one (worrying that my time is going quickly and also about all the what if’s?). Today, I am at a place where I don’t worry as much as I used to. So many positive changes has happened in the recent years, I can see clearly where it’s going for me and my sweetheart. My pride & joy x 2 💙💙. Many forget to acknowledge or notice that the siblings of a special child have their own challenges while growing up. They don’t understand why one of them is given more time or why the special child is the center of the family. Like any special needs siblings mine too went through a lot but then they started understanding quickly. They both are younger than Siri and I am sure it was confusing for them when they were younger. We always told them that Siri is a special sister for them with some challenges and she needs their help. She didn’t do anything wrong to be born the way she is and they need to respect her as an elder sister but treat her like a younger sister. Siri loves both her brothers and she checks on them often. Now that we all are home she goes to them more than coming to us if she wants anything. They both are very caring, loving and respectful of their sister. We could not have done it without these two precious kids by our side. Words can’t express how much I love and adore them. I don’t write about them often as I am not sure if they would like it or not if they read them.
