I got out for the first time today in a couple of weeks. My youngest daughter is not only getting married this year (as is my oldest) but she’s also moving out next weekend 🥺, so I went to see her house and take a few things over to her. Oh my gosh, it’s so cute! She’s moving to the Cherry Street area here in Tulsa which is considered part of mid-town. It is a neat part in town- within walking distance to awesome restaurants, bars, shops etc. It’s a charming old home that just needs a little TLC. I’ll move my office into her old bedroom as it’s at the front of the house, gets loads of bright light and the windows allow me to look out and can see when the mailman, UPS and/or Fed Ex drivers are here to pick up shipments. 😀 I went through some pictures of the last house we lived in and remembered these chairs shown here in the family room there. I think I may use them in her old room/my new office. I’m trying to think about the fun I’ll have decorating that room instead of how much I’m going to miss Ashton…although she’ll only be less than 2 miles away from me. There are lots of things changing in my life right now! That’s pretty much been most of how I spent my Sunday. I set the table with #antique Copeland Spode Seasons tonight. I have a set of green rimmed bowls representing the month of June (scroll right for closeups). I love the cheery hand painted colors on these green Transferware pieces. The #Seasons pattern was introduced in 1837 — the year Queen Victoria ascended to the throne. The name derives as much from the border with its four cherubs, representing Spring, Summer, Autumn and Winter, as from the centers, which are sometimes named with a month or season. The centers feature places such as the Alps, Florence, Edinburgh (rare), Italian Garden, Windsor Castle and Vintage of Sorrento. We had 5 of our 6 kids (we missed you KK @487milestogo) and Shawn’s parents to brunch earlier to celebrate my Father in laws 84th birthday. Shawn made his Dads favorites; Swedish pancakes.
