Made these for two of my Dragon Age characters earlier so figured I should make some quick ones for my Mass Effect boys too~ Might do ones for Sara and Dex too but these were already tricky enough to get just right. Happy with the results though, especially Scott’s~

28 Days: Are you going to use the default appearance or create a custom Ryder? If custom, describe your Ryder’s physical appearance (hair color, eye color, skin color, height, weight, facial features, any scars or tattoos, racial origin, etc). If you have art and/or a face-claim, feel free to add them here.

o Both. Default broRyder appearance for when I play Scott, cause I'm in the minority that really likes the default appearances, and custom appearance for Dex.

Dex Appearance: Leaned but toned body. Despite what canon heights for Scott say I headcanon Dex at about 5'11 and I'll figure his weight out later. Mid-tone tanned and freckled skin, with his freckles being most prominent on his head and shoulders. Short, semi-coiled hair shaved down into an undercut. Blue eyes and thick eyebrows. Mixed ethnicity, though I haven’t pegged down his parent’s races yet. He looks like both parents but resembles his mother more. Not sure about any facial hair yet, I'll wait and see what the CC offers first. Also usually seen with his pyjak on his shoulder.

29 Days: What is your Ryder’s name? Why did you pick this name - is there a meaning or origin story behind it? Do they go by any nicknames? What would you name their sibling, father and mother if you were able to choose? 

o Dexter, but he strongly prefers Dex. If you call him by his full name he'll assume he's in trouble ( thanks to mama Ryder). OOC reasoning would be that my sister and I ( who are playing one another's twins for at least 2 playthroughs ) were going through potential twins names and our favorite set was Dexter and Demeter. IC, he’s named after an uncle who died in the First Contact War. Obviously if I could choose his sister would be named Demeter in-game, though for Papa Ryder I'm fine with the name Alec, and Ellen ( I think it was? ) for Mama Ryder.

30 Days: Will you play SisRyder or BroRyder first? Why? How does your Ryder define their gender?

o BroRyder(s), plural cause I’m going to play as Scott and a custom Ryder. No real reason, beyond the fact that when it comes to Mass Effect games I'm just way more comfortable playing as a male character ( love my M!Shep and his half a dozen plus playthroughs to death, but just never connected to F!Shep or even finished a full playthrough of her with any trilogy game.) I do plan to do a playthrough as sis!Ryder, but she’s not fleshed out at all.

2. How easy is it for your character to laugh?o Very easy. It takes little to make Scott laugh, especially when he's around others that he's comfortable with, and he'll often make himself laugh by thinking of an old joke or fond memory at random times. He has a very broad sense of humor so he finds most jokes funny to at least some extent, even if he doesn’t really get them, and also assuming it's all in good fun. He’s a joker at heart, but he won't laugh at the expense of someone he cares about. Joking is also one of his coping methods for dealing with stressful situations, and he can make himself laugh even if only to distract himself or others.

11. How do they cope with confusion (seek clarification, pretend they understand, etc)?o It varies, depending on how serious a situation is, but in the average conversation Scott will usually just nod and pretend that he understands, and then later look to someone else for clarification. When they were children Scott was extremely shy, so that person was sometimes their mother, who would quietly explain it to him, but more often Sara, who would ask the questions for Scott to keep her 'precious baby brother' out of the spotlight.
