Lilacs are one of my favourite flowers. My Mom has several purple-blooming bushes in their backyard, and a couple white ones alongside the house, in the front yard. They only ever bloom for a couple short weeks around Mother’s Day (even though this year was quite late) and the smells are amazing!! And the blooms are always so silky, and delicate.
