One thing i find interesting about Saps in Decayed & Decrepit is that even tho he kept talking about the whole saving people and all he never truly showed direct signs of affection to anyone in particular. He sometimes ended up saying something here or there that looked nice but even so he was actually very reserved.
Makes me remember Flux in some way. The difference is that Flux did show emotions but they were all converted to some kind of anger while for Saps they all went neutral, but since he was soft spoken, it didnt matter as much as it did for Flux. The hostel turning slowly more "selfish" according to the other's visions only made this worse.
And still on the hostel thing, the one that got that reputation to hostel was Flux and Flux alone. Maybe Thomas if im being more open but mainly Flux. The groups also played big roles in dad since they would technically be a proof of everyone's own morals. The "you become who you talk with" thing or whatever. So like, if we look at Stella and then at Flux, the difference on their personality's is MASSIVE, but they're both from the same group that it is said to be the worst of Paradise. Yall see where im getting?
In conclusion, it didn't matter that much how human and sincere they sounded but rather how they said it. Maybe there was this commun understanding between everyone in Paradise that the way plp said things would reveal more about their true intentions in an intense situation like theirs than the words used to communicate something.
